The volume of the megaphone itself, however, is sufficient, and I really didn't feel like sending it back, especially since it arrived just in time for a Girl Scout camp that my wife was running. In retrospect, I probably would go with a cheaper model, but I can't say I'm too disappointed in the MV-208. Despite its flaws, and the fact that it is quite heavy, I still use it almost daily to call the children in for dinner, and it is handy when dealing with crowds (camps, field trips, etc.).
