the whole sword is 28 inches- the blade is 20 inches.. it is a good looking sword.

How hard are these swords? Are they more rubber like than foam?

Not quite as hard as rubber, but much tougher than Nerf style foam swords (etc.) They are great for dueling and also look good on display. Hope that helps.

Is the handle removable? Even if i have to cut it off? (Trying to repurpose the blade for a cosplay)

no, the handle is not removable

Will this work as a nerf sword?

No, these are hard foam. I wouldn't use them for even lightest touch combat at a LARP. In my opinion these are good for cosplay only.
