I thought it prudent to leave a review in English since that’s the language of the exam and I’m sure prospective test takers will be curious how this helped (or didn’t) me to prepare.The book is comprehensive with many examples of questions to work through for each of the sections. The primary benefits I took away from this book were understanding the format of the exam as well as some helpful time-saving tips and test-taking strategy.What was wrong with this book? For one, it’s riddled with typos and errors. I had circled at least 10 grammatical, spelling, and formatting issues when I was working through the book before my exam. It made me doubt the accuracy of the answers at times. Explainations for answers were sometimes unclear.Also, the 2nd section does not match the format of the real exam. I was surprised come exam day (Sept 2018) that there were a number of questions in section 2 on the real exam whose format was not covered by this book.Do I think this exam improved my score? Yes, but only because it familiarized me with the format and style of the exam. In reality, there’s nothing to be learned for the UKCAT. You’ll already have all the skills and knowledge base before you take the exam.I’d recommend practicing speed skills and educated guessing skills. The real exam is at breakneck speed and honestly 90% of the game is figuring out how to approach questions in the limited time you have.
