great book!
I love this book and all the other volumes. It has Great math word problems. I am so excited to have volumes 1, 2, and 3. I am excited because I homeschool my kids and this is a great reference tool to have at hand. It has a bit of every kind of math word problems. I love it! At the end it has the answers to the problems so for me I will be using it as a teachers guide. It would be good for just to have around for the kids to practice in a fun way too. make games out of the problems and make it fun! I truly appreciate this book! you!~Sharlene Gail Martinez

Good but needs a good editor who knows basic math
I have given this book 4 out of the 5 allowable stars because of some editing that needs to be done. As with all math books, never automatically accept the answers in the back as many have errors and this one is no exception. The questions are clear as to what is being asked for. The instructions for each chapter are clear. It may help if the children and parents are told there could be more than one possible answer to each since most situations require a specific one for the grade.

Multiple, Divide, and Measure
Multiplication and division are the primary focus in these exercises for grade 3 students. Area, perimeter, measurement, and rounding build on math skills learned in earlier chapters. Props can be used for more visual learners. For example, a clock with hand could help student struggling with the elapsed time exercises

They enjoyed it as much as I did working with them
I sat down with some of the kids in the apartment complex and we went through some of the problems. They enjoyed it as much as I did working with them. Books like this are always welcome especially when the child needs help. Kudos to Stephan Hill

THE THIRD GRADE HAS ARRIVED, THERE’S NO MORE PICTURE BOOKS, MATH IS GETTING HARDER. THERE’S STILL A LOT MORE TO LEARN
Picture books are gone and students are reading real books now and having to write a report on what they’ve read. In this, the third book in his series, author Stephen Hill is helping parents teach their children a wide range of new math problems, area which parents now take for granted. They include: Multiplication, Division, Area, Perimeter, Time, Reading/Understanding Graphs, etc.And like in his previous two books, the author has presented his 120 math problems using words instead of number. This forces the book’s readers to read the problem being shown and then translate each problem to numbers on the paper they’re using to solve the problem. This combination of reading and then solving each problem reinforces their understanding of the math they’re now learning. For wanting to further educate its young readers in having to understand and translate written math problem into actual numbers and then do the math, I’ve given this book 5 STARS.
