It is a decent beginner kit. The brush isn't all that great as a few others have said. Mine showed up with one empty hole where bristles should have been and bristles falling out. That said the firmness is good and I like the contoured shape. The comb is good not as good as many of the reviews have said in my opinion but still good works fine especially on my mustache. The teeth of the comb do seem to bend easily though which for only two days use and being made of wood seems odd. The entire set also smelled very strongly of citronella. I'm not sure if this is used to help protect the natural materials in storage or if this is just a fluke maybe the product is manufactured in a facility that also makes tiki torches or something. All in all as I said ok kit for beginners and it's an easy purchase. I've bought better brushes for less locally. If you're a beginner for the price go for it or if you just want a simple travel kit and don't want to lose any of your good stuff also a good purchase. If you're looking for a good brush and comb for daily use shop around some more.*Edit* The seller did reach out to me and express that some of my issues with the product are not what they would consider to be exemplary of their product. I can concede that the missing bristles are I'm sure from a manufacturing error and perhaps even the strange smell could be a fluke. They did offer me a replacement to show that what I received is not to their standards. I declined a replacement because I believe I was relatively fair in my review though I will add a star due to the fact that if someone else has a problem I do believe it would be rectified fairly quickly and that piece of mind is worth something when purchasing something you can't feel or really see in person until it arrives. Might have been a mistake on my part, as I already own much higher quality boar hair bristle brushes.Lets start with the brush. It is a bit smaller a lot lighter than I had expected. I do enjoy the tapered bristles. It feels like it helps smooth out my beard. The one issue I have with the brush is, after only two weeks the bristles are already starting to fall out. I have found several of them in my beard after a good brushing session and a few almost always come out when I clean the hair out of my brush.Now the comb. This is the real reason I bought this kit. The sandal wood smells amazing. The smell does fade a bit (two weeks of use). Even with regular cleaning with a rag (I use beard cream). The smell is still there and I will give the benefit of the doubt and say the degradation is due to my beard products. Even though I clean the comb regularly. The comb feels sturdy enough but I would not carry this around in pants pockets, a coat pocket is a maybe. Even thought is feels sturdy, my particular comb has waves in it. If i lay it flat and rub my fingers along the teeth you can feel inclines and declines. I know, what should I expect at the price point.All in all for the price, it is a great little kit for anyone thinking about trying to grow out their facial hair. If you are just starting out, this is a great kit as you will mostly be needing a brush are you first get your hair going.
