ISBN: 9781260597684 is an international edition of Introduction to Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics 9th Edition by J.M. Smith, Hendrick C. Van Ness, Michael Abbott, Mark Swihart This ISBN is student textbook only. It does not come with online access code. Access code, if required by an instructor, sold separately at another ISBN. The content of International edition is the same as other formats. Introduction to Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics presents comprehensive coverage of thermodynamics from a chemical engineering viewpoint. The text provides a thorough exposition of the principles of thermodynamics and details their application to chemical processes. The chapters are written in a clear, logically organized manner, and contain an abundance of realistic problems, examples, and illustrations to help students understand complex concepts. This text is structured to alternate between the development of thermodynamic principles and the correlation and use of thermodynamic properties as well as between theory and applications. Review: Exactly like the online version - Bought this for my son to bypass the publishing monopoly. The text is exactly the same as the online version that he is required to have anyway. Review: The author had a vision of reorganizing the content of the text when looking in his spaghetti bowl - The content is possibly useful for students who will go on for a Ph.D. in chemical engineering with an emphasis in thermodynamics. For the vast majority of students who will go on to work in industry, it is utterly confusing. This text does an excellent job of explaining concepts. The incorporation of odd polynomial integrations is outdated - it was only useful for old computer systems. Ought to be removed because it confuses the students.
