Scratch-resistant melamine top is 5/8" thick with a one-Piece, 1 3/4" brown steel apron and black vinyl edging. gravity leg-locking mechanism makes set-up quick and easy. folds to 2 1/2" thick and locks for easy transport and storage. 1" diameter, brown steel legs have black plastic foot caps to protect floors. holds up to 1, 200 lbs. evenly distributed.

I love the straight tabletop as it doesn't fold, but the table legs do fold. The height of this table is super easy to work on. Definitely worthy of the price point! It's a perfect sized work table!! Review: Excellent product but may arrive damaged - This is an excellent table, highly recommended. However, I bought 9 and 4 were damaged. Easily returned and replaced. Then the 4 replacements came and one was damaged, which I am again asking to be replaced. Moral of the story: buy this table, but if you need s specific amount immediately, then order extra to account for damaged units. Some arrive scratched and some arrive with missing shipping inserts, and some arrive with the shipping inserts smashed. desertcart should ask the manufacturer to mark this package as FRAGILE, DO NOT DROP ON CORNERS, DO NOT PUNCTURE CARDBOARD. Or, they should add another layer of foam on each side when it is packaged in the factory. The corner shipping inserts smash when the carton is dropped, they need to be more rubbery and bounce. More quality control needs to happen in the factory. Just because the package is undamaged, do not expect it to be a good unit. Don't wait until you need to use the table to open the box. Open it immediately. Don't get angry if the table is damaged, just return it and they pay for shipping. I was quickly credited for the damaged units. Be aware that you need 60" to seat 2 people, possibly longer for some chairs. The legs are not at the very end of the table and the leg support may be in the way of big people. All chairs I wanted to use were 25" to 27" in width. A 48" table will probably only accommodate one chair, 60" accommodated 2 of my chairs and may be good enough for you, or your chairs might need 72" tables for 2 chairs. Be aware of the height of your chairs, some chairs may not fit under the table. My chairs are adjustable and fit fine. Someone pushing a chair in might overturn the table even though it weighs about 35 lbs and is very sturdy. I think I read someplace that it holds 550 lbs evenly distributed, much better than the molded plastic tables I looked at. Enjoy! I love my tables!

**Q: Is the underside of the top made of a material that I can staple fabric to?  I want to wrap this tabletop in batting and fabric and staple underneath.**
A: The underside is a dense particle board. I don't know what you mean by "batting" but staples would have to be short and I do not think an office stapler would manage to pernitrate the material.

**Q: Has the company improved their shipping?  I**
A: i don't think so.  I ordered these back in 2018, it took about 2-3 weeks to arrive

**Q: What is the exact length of this table? On top of the description it says 60 inches. But in product details it says 62 inches. Thanks for your help!**
A: The table we purchased has many difficult-to-move electronic components on it now, but a careful estimate for the table top is 60.0 inches.  However, the table top sits on a tubular frame, and the rounded part of the tube sticks out beyond the table top a smidge.  So if you have exactly 60.0 inches of space for the table, it will not fit.  The table top is nowhere near 62 inches.

A: They always tell you up front about shipping whether its paid or free. Most things I order are fulfilled in two days.
