The only thing that has helped me. I've had cold sores for 20 years and this is the only thing that works. Literally takes away cold sores. If you catch it at the tingle it'll prevent eruption. If you catch it after it'll stop it from progressing and heal within a day or two. I'm terrified they've discontinued it since it's been unavailable for a while.

I’ve gotten cold sores my entire life. This is the ONLY medicine I’ve found to be effective. At the first tingle putting on just 1 or 2 drops typically stops them from ever fully forming. If I happen to not have my drops on hand and have one fully form this medicine heals them in days not weeks like abreva or prescriptions. I apply a couple times a day for several days then for good measure a couple more days after the sore is fully healed. Taste and smell is honestly not great because of the clove oil used but it is worth the trade off for effectiveness. I just ran out of my first bottle that I bought March 2023 (according to my Amazon history). it was a little cheaper then but still for $24 it is well worth the cost for the pain relief and relief of embarrassment for having an outbreak. I’ve recommended this to family and friends that have outbreaks and would recommend this to anyone. I’m so thankful I took a chance 2-1/2 years ago and trusted the other reviews when I was desperate for something to help

This product appears to have preventative cold sore effects. I made sure to take the time to write a review. I have tried every cold sore remedy. Most don't work. What works is: Zovirax, honey, L lysine pills, Vitamin D optimization, honey based lip balm, and the red laser zapper. This item will now be added to my arsenal. I don't know whether it works on a full blown cold sore since I prevent my cold sores now with all of these products. Oddly, the last cold sore that I prevented, using this product now also, resulted in a ridiculously tiny eruption with zero swelling that cured overnight. I had never seen that phenomenon until I started using this. I am skeptical about cold sore products but I think this does work. The trick is to recognize the very early signs and be aware of the cold/sun/dryness/weakened/stress conditions that trigger them. Since this is oil, it can be used in the early chapped/dry lips phase, saving Zovirax as the big gun for later. I think the formula of this product is similar to thieves oil. I am happy with it, I will purchase again, and I have had cold sores for 40 years so I know.

I love this stuff!! It’s the best treatment I’ve found for cold sores. As soon as I feel one coming on I use this oil and the cold sore doesn’t have the time to fully form!! This oil stops them in their tracks. It also helps the cold sore heal faster than any other treatment I have tried before. It is a bit pricey but I don’t mind paying for something that works WAY better than anything else! It’s made with essential oils and I love the smell of it! It’s worth the money!

I've only used what I had left of the product a few times, but I think it works fairly well. However, it comes in a small (slightly smaller than an average thumb) container and it seems intuitive how to open. But...it wasn't. I turned the cap and pulled off the top, like I've done countless times with other bottles, only to find a small whitish plastic piece inside. I turned over the container and nothing came out. I pried off the plastic piece, which seems to be a sort of "applicator." In doing so, and I was careful, at least half the contents of the container spilled. I tried to reaffix the applicator, but it would not stay. Was my bottle defective? Was I doing something wrong? Who knows? There are no opening instructions since the opening process is like any other bottle--you turn the cap (intuitive, right?). This product is NOT RETURNABLE! So, I'm using what I have left of the product. Bottom line: the product likely works pretty well on cold sores, but the bottle needs to be treated carefully...certainly more carefully than I did. BEWARE!
