I had to remove the guard release lever for it to fit. Even though it doesn’t sit all the way down it’s about 80-90% down and after I tighten it down, it’s firmly on there. I hooked it up to my 10G Ridgid shop vac and amazingly no dust escaped. Even when I opened the front of the guard to get close to the edge it barely let any dust out. In my case I noticed that the guard stuck out a little further than the grinding wheel so I needed to push down or tilt the grinder a little to get good contact with the concrete but that’s because my wheel is a little worn down and I should notch out the shroud collar to fit more flush with the grinder - which I’ll eventually do.
