I was aware that it was Region 1, but that isn't an issue as many players are now multi-region for DVD as standard and mine is one of those. The only issue is that I bought this as a new product, but it is clearly second hand - open and with dirty smudges over all of the discs. All seems to work fine so far and, if it had been advertised as second hand I wouldn't have minded. But it was not advertised as second hand and when they're asking retail prices for it that's rather dishonest.
