Our fan doesn't work now. Needs to be refixed. Useless product Review: Fan went totally dead and I did not know if the motor or capacitor bit the dust. Since the fan was rarely used over a period of ten years, but still looked very good, I figured I would try a capacitor swap. For the $12 of the price of three capacitors, even if it didn't work it would be worth the effort to give it a shot. Long story short, it worked perfectly and I have two extra capacitors to boot. I will probably never need them again, or be able to find them as time goes by, but a cheap investment versus buying a new fan. Pay attention to the wiring color arrangement an the number of wires comparing the old unit with the one you want to buy. I have a 5 wire capacitor and the only difference with the old and the new was on the new one two colors were not in the same physical position as the old unit.
