For as long as I could recall I used the light blue/dark blue Scotch-Brite pads, occasionally using the yellow/green if the blues were unavailable, both did a good job and served me well for decades. I saw these amazing Dobie's as a suggested product and thought I was just a way for Scotch-Brite to inch out a little more margin with a "premium" sponge, while that may be part of it, they are still quite cheap. As for the job they do it's incredible, not only am I spending less time cleaning dishes, they are without a doubt coming out better. The best part of this is the time saved is the part that I like the least, the scrubbing and repetitive cleaning to remove fused food particles from pans and utensils. It does not scratch anything I've cleaned in the several months I've now been using these. They are a perfect size, they seem a tiny bit smaller than the regular old-school sponges, but it works far better all around. The little hard plastic seams on both ends also work really well for little crevices, I'm not sure if this was by design or as a result of manufacturing but it's a nice little extra tool that's already in your hand. A downfall of these is they definitely don't last as long, once a hole appears in the exoskeleton your poor little sponge is on it's last leg, within a day or two it'll be the end. Maybe I used the old sponges far too long??? I don't know but it is noticeable, but frankly, with how much time they save and how much better they work overall it's not a factor in my decision. I think I saw another reviewer do this so I can't take the credit, but once a sponge has seen better days for cleaning dishes I decommission them to bathroom cleanup, where there are fewer things to catch the little tears on they will survive for a few bathroom cleanings, which I'd want to throw it out after anyway, who wants a 6 month old sad little, dirty, germ-filled sponge hanging around a bathroom? As good of a job as these Dobies do in the kitchen, they are perhaps even better in a bathroom, they just tear through anything a bathroom can throw at it. Our master bath is quite large with a lot of tiles and these make it a quick job for cleanup. If you're on the fence, give these a try, I mean look at how much I just wrote about a sponge! Review: Changed a bit over the years, but still great - For some reason, these are impossible to find in the stores - But they're a 'go-to' that I was SO happy to find again. Very much hope that they continue to be stocked! The plastic exterior is gentle enough to use on soft stone (such as marble), but holds up firm enough to clean hard water and muck off the tub etc. I find them to be indispensable and their durability is impressive - they can last for a sufficient amount of time to justify the cost. I don't think my cleaning efforts went as far with standard sponges and cleaning tools. I highly recommend these. ## Features - Durable ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B001E6KF5Y | | Best Sellers Rank | #104,104 in Baby Products ( See Top 100 in Baby Products ) #125 in Disposable Changing Pad Liners | | Brand | Scotch-Brite | | Country of Origin | USA | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 2,654 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 50021200417561 | | Item Package Quantity | 8 | | Item Weight | 82 g | | Manufacturer | 0 | | Number of Items | 8 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Durable | | Recommended Uses For Product | Scrubbing | | Special Feature | Durable | | Surface Recommendation | Glass, Plastic, Por , Stone, Wood | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Scotch-Brite - **Item Package Quantity:** 8 - **Item Weight:** 82 g - **Special Feature:** Durable - **Surface Recommendation:** Glass, Plastic, Por, Stone, Wood ## Images ![Scotch-Brite Dobie All-Purpose Pad, 3 Count (Pack of 8) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71b0gj0wM+L.jpg) ![Scotch-Brite Dobie All-Purpose Pad, 3 Count (Pack of 8) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71avKfP2uhL.jpg) ![Scotch-Brite Dobie All-Purpose Pad, 3 Count (Pack of 8) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81Vv-wF5NyL.jpg) ![Scotch-Brite Dobie All-Purpose Pad, 3 Count (Pack of 8) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/8196zK8p9FL.jpg) ![Scotch-Brite Dobie All-Purpose Pad, 3 Count (Pack of 8) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71w2kNp0ssL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: just to confirm, this is 8 packs of 3 so I would be getting 24 pads right?** A: As of 5/12/20, yes, 8 packs of 3 each, for a total of 24 sponges **Q: Do these stink after sometime? Most other pads do....have loved the scrub daddy series, but they are expensive..!** A: Sponges do not last forever! You must routinely clean and sanitize sponges or they will get nasty harboring bacteria and stink. Rinse them and wring them out thoroughly each time you use. Put them in the dishwasher to wash and sanitize. And throw out after a couple of months and use a new one. **Q: How do you pronounce the name of this product?** A: Correction to my previous answer. I pronounce it dough-bee **Q: Due to the pad's design, wouldn't food particles get trapped in it?** A: Yes, sometimes it accumulates food particles. That means it's getting the food particles off the dishes. You can not eliminate dirt, you can only move it from one place to another. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wow these things are Amazing! *by T***. on 9 January 2019* I do the dishes in our house, so it is an evening ritual that has been going on for many, many years.
