This would only cause the light to go on when a certain noise level was reached. **Q: Can you set this to 40Hz (40 flashes per second) ?** A: Not sure...it has an adjustable strobe speed. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bang for the buck *by C***B on October 7, 2021* I purchased this product for myself to use in the downstairs basement for a party light and Halloween use. For my purposes the size of the light is perfect I can easily place it in a location where it is not obvious or look out of place. The strobe light being all metal looks good, however I don’t think it would take too kindly to high moisture environments, however, I am not looking to really do that anyhow. The lights or LEDs rather appear to be evenly spaced within the unit, the knobs on the unit look and feel good however it might be nice to have some labeling for each of the knobs so someone Else may be able to more quickly figure out what the knobs are without quick Instruction. The made in China sticker could be put in a less obvious place as some people try to avoid such products. However the price point on this unit basically implies that, but the function is good. The manual control in my opinion is more preferable than having to use a little remote that will get lost and uses batteries. The sound activated feature is nice and I think it will work well it does tend to lag because it’s picking up from the volume however that’s to be expected and it’s not truly that noticeable nor is it being used in a professional environment. So far upon my initial review the product looks to be five stars on materials usefulness looks and quality one taken into comparison with the price point of the product. I am very excited to use this product and I believe I will purchase more of these units, but I wanted to only purchase one initially for the testing. Product arrived within two days of purchase it looks good works well and as long as it doesn’t break down or have some other issue I plan on purchasing more. I use them in conjunction with my stereo system in my basement for when i have parties. the metal construction was a plus.It feels sturdy and i will recommend it to my friends and family.The brightness is great and the the manual flash control seems to be good but i got it more for the sound activated ability.I like the metal case and was the thing i was most surprised about when i opened the box. Definitely the the quality detail feels much greater because of it.I like the size, I am accustomed to older models that use a single bulb and a longer body but i feel i get a wider spread of the strobe with fewer lights.I bought for myself but would consider buying it as a gift for others if i ever have the need where i feel someone would like or want a strobe. Let’s be honest they are kind of a specific purpose kind of thing.I love the sound activated feature because it times itself as far as i can tell really well with the music. not sure how it triggers though...
