For Example 2 hours non-stop?** A: I've done 5 hours, but haven't done the math or tested the battery duration yet. Once I forgot to charge it and I lost half of my intended recording. **Q: Is there a mic jack?** A: No. The top of the recorder that sticks up from a shirt pocket has a headphone jack, but there is no mic jack or double function input/output. For a mic input you may want to look at some of the slightly larger pocket-size recorders made by Olympus, Sony and Tascam. **Q: is it mac compatible?** A: It is compatible to both platforms **Q: Is there a clip for a shirt pocket, or to clip onto a backpack?** A: The clip is weak and fragile. If you bend over it is likely to fall out of your front shirt pocket. Possibly you could put it on a lanyard. Fortunately, the recorder itself is superb. I use mine more than once most days and it does a great job of recording. You can instantly go from off/locked to record which is important to me because a lot of my interviews are ad-hoc. I don't play back the recording on this unit though. I move them to my computer and play them back with a dictation system (F5).
