Another Great Machine
Hamilton Beach makes outstanding products. My 1st food processor lasted 18yrs. Now this new one is great! Perfect for just me. Works fantastic. Size is perfect for my small kitchen.

Good Product
It is just the right size for me as a single person. I love the quick release clamps on the top making access an ease. The motor is strong, quiet and quality of construction is good. The lid has a gasket, keeping liquids inside without leakage. The size and design make it easy and quick to clean. I used it to make hummus and clean-up was a breeze. Also, the blending was good making the texture of the hummus consistent. A good product to have in the kitchen.

Excellent mini-food processor, doesn't fully replace large food processor or blender
This product is exactly what it says it is, a “mini” food processor, so I will review it based on that fact alone. If you are looking to replace a full size, say 8-10 cup food processor or full sized blender for 100% of your jobs, this is not the appliance for you, so it is not fair to judge it otherwise. This food processor slices small amounts of vegetables, shreds small amounts of cheese, and makes a nice sized smoothie, about 16-20 ounces, and it has a smaller footprint on your kitchen counter. It does all this pretty well, although it does not blend ice very well. It does have one design flaw though, as mentioned in other reviews, the small plastic alignment tab in the lid, which my wife broke off THE VERY FIRST TIME SHE USED IT. This is an engineering design flaw that a safeguard such as this could break so easily. I just took the broken piece and jammed it in the handle to bypass the cutoff switch, problem solved, but the only ding I can call out on this appliance; shame on Hamilton Beach for designing this piece to be so fragile. That's why I only gave it 4 stars and not 5. If you’re thinking well I don’t need a full sized food processor or blender so I’ll just make a double batch, I think you’ll be frustrated and blame the appliance, which again really isn’t fair. It is what it is, nothing more. We owned a large food processor for about a year, using it twice, then packing it away. It was just too much and this is just about enough. Same with my blender, used to make smoothies and now it sits in storage.

Great mini food processor
I have a full sized food processor but almost never use it because it is such a hassle to drag out and clean all the parts afterwards. This little mini is perfect for cooking for two. I can just leave it on the counter and it is quick to clean up. It has all the functionality that I need (grating, slicing and chopping) and does a wonderful job.

Engineering failure
I received it in January of this year, 6 months ago, and used it a total of less than a dozen times. I noticed the lid sticks, almost vacuum seals, and didn't really like it but could live with it. Well, today, after not using it for a few weeks, it stuck so bad that when I finally got it off, the little plastic piece that is needed to make contact or it won't run, broke clean off, making it completely useless. A thin, clear, quarter inch square, eigth of an inch thick - no bigger and not much thicker than a fingernail. Without it, nothing. Dead. And past the return date, of course.

Right size
Tough little blender a lot easier for me to use being 69. The big ones are to heavy, and I use it at least 3 or 4 times a week.

Stopped working after two uses
At first glance, this seemed like the perfect small food processor so I wouldn't need to pull out my regular-sized one for a small task. The small one was easy to use and easy to clean, albeit lightweight and not seemingly sturdy. I purchased it so that I could grate my own parmesan cheese rather than buy store-bought grated cheese that may contain fillers or substances to prevent caking. The machine handled two wedges of parmesan, possibly three, before the motor burned out. Had I purchased from a physical store, I would have chosen to leave it on the shelf due to its lack of weight, signaling cheap materials.

Small , lightweight, easy to assemble, perfect for my cooking for one.
Perfect for my particular needs. It is small and lightweight and not super powerful. But it is not heavy, doesn't jump around, and is easy to store. Also, it is small but works for my needs.

Good compact food processor
First of all, I received a damaged item (the clip on the lid was broken), so I requested for a replacement. There was more inconvenience coming along with the replacement item (missing part, scratches on the bowl, tiny crack on the plastic of the blade part, a button that's a bit stubborn), but Amazon customer service was very helpful and attentive in solving my problem, and I very much appreciated their empathetic responds and satisfying solutions. Now about this product, I think the size is perfect for me. It's small, but not too small like the 1.5 cup mini food processors in the market, also not too big to take up much kitchen space. I only cook for myself and my husband, so I don't need big serving capacity, and I think 4 cup is the way to go. I like the shape of the blade that allows it to chop and blend more evenly. The first time I used it, I tried to chop bell peppers. Unfortunately I overdid it and turned it into purée. The motor is quite powerful for the size, and you really don't need to hit the chop button too many times if all you want to do is chopping, otherwise you'll have purée instead. The shredder/slicer works well too. You just have to insert a smaller amount and size of food at a time. The lid has a rubber seal that prevents leakage, which is a good thing. But it also makes opening the lid requires a little bit of force (because the rubber is really tight). This product boasts its stack and snap system that's advertised to be more convenient than twist and lock in most food processors and blenders, which I think is true. The bottom part of the cup is not attached or locked into anything when you run the machine. There's a plastic piece in the cup handle that sticks into the motor body when you close the lid (a piece of plastic on the lid pushes down this piece of plastic in the cup handle), that triggers the safety mechanism so that the motor will run, but that's all. So you can just lift up the cup and the motor will stop working. That's convenient while still being safe. All of the parts are easy to clean, and dishwasher safe (I wash them manually in hot water and soap). I think this product is perfect if you can't afford to have a bigger food processor due to lack of space, or just don't need a big one. The only concern here in my opinion is durability. The clips on the lid feel a bit flimsy, and it seems like if you don't handle them gently they'll break quite easily because of the shape of the clips. And the bigger concern is with the safety mechanism. Basically if the little piece of plastic on the lid or on the cup handle broke, the motor would not turn on. And judging from the size, shape and position, it could happen quite easily if you don't handle it with care. Bottom line, this seems like a good product and mine works well so far. My advice is to handle this food processor gently. Hopefully it will last reasonably long. Good luck. :)

Love my little mixer!
This is such a great little mixer at such a great price! It’s perfect for leaving on my counter for everyday mixing and chopping/slicing or shredding. I love how it came with different attachments and I can slice, chop, and shred all with this. It mixes perfectly too. I have a big heavy food processor, but it’s so big and bulky I don’t always feel like hauling it out. This is so nice and compact, it’s super easy to use. And the lid snaps on nice and tight. It’s not like my older food processor that had to slide and lock, and at times would jolt apart while I was using it and scare the heck out of me. This one is completely safe and secure. It even has little suction cup feet on the bottom so you can’t slide it on the counter. It’s VERY safe feeling. The snap lid has to be in place for it to work, it’s a great safety feature. It’s really easy to clean up too. I hand wash the blades; I find the dishwasher too caustic on blades and wears them out much quicker. But otherwise I would put everything else in the dishwasher. It’s not designed to crush ice or spices. And it’s recommended to freeze cheese like mozza for 30 min prior to shredding. It does make great smoothies though! This has been a great purchase and I would definitely buy it again. Highly recommend.
