Everything about them is great, the size, finish, ease of cleaning but one thing, which comes down to common sense really. If you do food prepping like me, you might take the container from the fridge (cold environment) and warm up the contents in order to put them back into the container to take it with you. The problem is that you're putting hot food into a cold metal container. The container heats up and expands and when you try to close it, you don't get a perfect seal which equals leakage. The first day I test drove my metal container, I closed the container and turned it upside down to test the seal, splat! My lunch fell flat on my counter. I wasn't surprised, it was truly my fault. The next day, I got a thermos and now I use that to take my lunch with me. These lovely metal containers now stay exclusively in the fridge unless I want to take a room temperature snack with me (cookies, dried goods, etc.). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Light and essentially leak proof! *by M***~ on Reviewed in the United States on July 4, 2017* These are absolutely perfect for toting about your lunch to work. I'm trying to reduce my carbon foot print so it was either stainless steel or glass. The glass is too heavy for everyday transport but these do just fine. I actually ended up ordering a second set too! In addition, I find that they help keeping things crisp if needed, like homemade kale chips or these awesome homemade Swedish crisp breads. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good, not great *by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2016* I bought these because I wanted an alternative to my glass tupperware that wouldn't be as heavy and wouldn't make me nervous about breaking in my work bag. These are super light-weight and hold much more than they look like they would, which is great, and I don't have to worry about damaging them. I don't like plastic tupperware because of how it can stain and get discolored (seems unsanitary that it can absorb whatever's inside of it) and because of the potential for plastic chemicals to leech into the food stored in them. These seem very airtight and have never leaked on my, even when stored sideways for a significant amount of time and holding somewhat liquid-y foods. I also like that they nest inside one another and save cabinet space that way.Unfortunately, I didn't quite think them through all the way and didn't realize I'd need to bring tableware to work too or only bring cold foods, because these can't go into the microwave. That's obviously not a fault of the product, but it makes them much less usable than I expected. Instead, I now mainly use them for home use which I didn't exactly need more of.Finally, the lids can sometimes be pretty difficult to get off. I think the counter-point to the seal being so great is that they get a little airtight and you need some strength to break that seal.
