Lots of Fun!
I was hesitant to purchase this based on the mixed reviews but the reviews were better than Chip which is the robotic dog my daughter originally wanted so we tried it out. Well, I'm glad we bought this little guy because he works really well. It is quite amazing just how much this robotic pup can do! There is a nice range of commands for the dog to follow or you can just let him freely do his own thing which is also entertaining. He works for about 20-25 mins before needing a charge but that time is action packed. Like many reviewers mentioned, one ear does fall off occasionally but that is no big deal. The only real issue we have is that the dog often doesn't recognize the command of a child. If follows the adult voice well but doesn't pick up on a child's voice so well. My daughter tries to deepen her voice to get him to listen which works about half the time. But all and all it is a fun toy and after 2 months my daughter has not bored of him yet and still plays with it at least once a week. We love the songs and silly antics this pup performs. The "follow me" command is one of my favorites because he will actually follow you as you walk around which is pretty funny.

I Loved Having a Poop-Free Pet for My Son
My kids wanted pets (daughter wanted a kitten, son wanted a puppy). I was NOT inclined to oblige since I felt I had far too recently gotten out of potty training kids and didn't feel like potty training a dog. Plus, my hubby is allergic to cats. So, instead, I got them interactive toy pets. My son got Bentley and LOVED him. As happens, kids will be very into some toys, then lose interest. Over time, his interest moved away from Bentley. But, while their relationship lasted, he played with, cuddled, gave commands to, and just totally loved on Bentley. I gotta say, Bentley is pretty stinking cute and you can convince yourself he's alive. (Not in a creepy "Chucky" way. More like a "Hey, wonder if we can have a Pinocchio moment with this toy?"-way.) Currently, Bentley is "sleeping" in my son's closet. He's not something my son wishes to pass down to his baby cousin (not yet anyway), but also not a toy he plays with daily/regularly anymore. But I still love this little pup and the joy he gave my son.

Cute concept
I'm giving this Zoomer Puppy four stars because it has the potential to be a great toy. This was one of the Christmas gifts my youngest daughter wanted most, so she was ecstatic when she opened it and for the first week after Christmas all you heard about was Bentley, but after that the toy lost my daughter's interest and now she barely plays with it. I have deduced that the main reason for this is because of how difficult it is to "train" the puppy. The instructions are fairly straightforward but it still takes much time and effort (that young children do not have the attention span for) to teach the puppy new tricks or commands. The puppy is supposed to "get smarter" but I've seen no evidence of this feature. The toy does make my children laugh however. This was a "big ticket" item and I guess I just expected more for the price. But I'm sure we'll be more satisfied once we can get Bentley to behave more like a "normal" puppy, lol.

Starting great, amazing dog... But After 2 charges of battery the dog had difficulty to move. Last one heard the engines force to move, my little girl is very disappointed. I don't recommand this dog

This is so cute. Bought it to feed my children's puppy craving. (It only worked for so long; we ended up getting a real puppy about a year after this). It's not junky and does what it says it will do. My kids played with it for about a month...they lose interest quick. Ages 9, 4, and 2.

3 months of good playtime, then caput.
Three stars here due to short life span of the toy, and poor customer support via the Zoomer company. My turning-10-yr-old daughter begged and begged for this puppy during the months preceding her birthday in December of 2016. She received it from her grandmother, as it was above our birthday budget. So it wasn't cheap! She played with it, enjoyed training it, etc. Toward the end of March, she realized her puppy was lagging in energy, despite it being fully charged. It was not making the full movements she had once seen from it. After troubleshooting and charging it again, she became sad that her puppy robot had so quickly declined in its mobility. I called the Zoomer company first on March 7, 2017 (although it was a problem before this) to inquire about a replacement or solution. The lady said they had no more Bentleys in stock, but did my daughter want the Marshal, Dalmatian robot? No, she didn't. Ok. I was advised to please call them again in 2-3 weeks and see if Bentleys were restocked. In 2-3 weeks, we called. No Bentleys yet. But did she want the Marshal? Still no. As of today, May 16, two more calls to Zoomer have been placed, and they have told us we need to go back to Amazon, since we purchased Bentley there, and seek a solution there. I advised her that if folks write a bad review for a product on Amazon, I've seen the company come back and fix the problem, to avoid putting a blemish on their company name. She didn't seem swayed by that. She said if Amazon is unable to resolve this issue, to call back again, reference my case number, and seek a higher management rep. OK. Dear Amazon, my daughter would like to know how she can again play with her Bentley, as it became "ill" 3 months after receiving it. Thank you very much. :)

GREAT FUN!!!
What a BLAST!!! Learn the secret codes... he farts, too!! And just let him run around... eventually he'll fall "asleep". We had to go looking one time... he snuck into our bedroom, and fell asleep in the corner. Warning: The 1-card cheat sheet of commands has some errors... for the correct word sequence, check the manual that comes with it.

COMMAND USES INCORRECT GRAMMAR
We just purchased Bentley for our eight and six year old kids, and as I was reading through the instruction manual I noticed that one of the commands for this dog is to `lay down' instead of the correct use, which is to 'lie down'. I find it disappointing that the company chose to use a grammatically incorrect command for this popular toy...thereby reinforcing the use of improper grammar for multitudes of young children out there. Now, if you don't care about this issue, then no need to read further. I am curious to know why the company chose to use the incorrect form, and would be pleased to see it corrected. This manufacturer could be doing parents out there a favor by reinforcing correct grammar rather than reinforcing improper grammar. Just my opinion...no one has to agree. As to how well my kids enjoyed this toy? They were thrilled beyond belief to get the toy, played with it for about three days, and now it is sitting in the toy closet untouched.
