I tapped the outlet/discharge connection on a white surface just to see if I would get any production debris inside which turned out there was nothing! It is magnetic. I put it near a compass and it made the compass responded very well to its magnetism. My 3/8" power steering return line hose fit snug enough to ensure a good seal with the clamps.
