Winco BAM-3.5 Bain Maries, 3.5-Quart

several people complain about the sticker leaving residue. use an oil based spray (WD-40) ant it will soak In and remove residue in a few wipes otherwise these have worked fine. used for boiling chemicals of DIY industrial process. ammonium compounds, dye's, nickel acetate, phosphoric acid. (anodizing aluminum and chemplate/phosphate steels) Defiantly made of stainless steel! material is defiantly a non magnetic Stainless steel. again people have said it "peels off" and is not stainless underneath but what I received this is defiantly not the case! the metal is non magnetic (aka no iron in the core) and it would be FAR more expensive to laminate or electroplate materials together after forming the product. its defiantly thin and will bow on the bottom if you place on a stovetop or hotplate in my case) It comes back to normal when cooled. you get what you pay for here and I am completely happy

Size is perfect but the stainless steel is thinner that I was expecting ! I bought this bain-marie for mixing water and lye I'm in the soap business.

The 3 1/2 qt. Bain Marie met specific measurement requirements and is stainless steel. After several uses of the Bain Marie, It's been noticed there's a tiny spot in the bottom that, hopefully, isn't a flaw in the stainless. Was of the impression that, under reasonable use, stainless steel would survive for years. Will continue to watch and hope the spot doesn't increase in size or depth.

I use it for storage, to cook, and for a lot of other tasks.

While the container fits inside the cheese warmer it was bought to go along with the lid from the warmer doesn't fit inside the rim of this container making it useless as an insert. I even was careful to make sure to get the correct size to fit the warmer but the lip on this insert doesn't work with the lid/pump on the warmer. very disappointing.
