I have used this pillow for a year now. It’s the best pillow I have ever found to support my neck and shoulders while sleeping on my side or back. It’s certainly cut down on the amount of pain I wake up with every day. This pillow holds its shape well.

I’ve been looking for a pillow that is firm, cooling and provides the right amount of support for side sleeping. I thought a cube shaped pillow would be a gimmick but after watching their video, i decided to give it a try because it looked like it actually could do what they say it does. I ordered my pillow and it came flattened and vacuum sealed. After removing it from the vacuum seal, it plumped immediately. It did have a slight chemically smell but that dissipated quickly. After two nights sleeping with the pillow I realized I had ordered the wrong size for my height. I ordered regular size for individuals over 5’ 3”. I am 5’1” and I found that the pillow was too thick so I wasn’t getting the proper alignment. So when you order, be sure to make sure you order the correct size pillow for the height/size. I sized down to the thin, which turned out to be perfect. Upon opening the pillow, I did feel like the thin wasn’t has firm as the standard but it turned out to be fine. The pillow looks like a cute rectangular block. The pillow casing is very soft and cool to the touch. I will say that the pillow does stay cool for a very long time. When I’m ready to sleep, I tuck the pillow between my shoulder against my neck. Once I lay my head down on the cool pillow, I fall asleep pretty fast. The pillow is comfortable and most importantly, the firmness is giving me the proper support to keep my spine aligned. So far I’ve been sleeping on this pillow for about a month and I really love it. Most pillows lose their firmness and therefore lose the head and neck support. I have high hopes that this pillow will remain firm for a long time. I’ll try to remember to do an update after 6 months of using this pillow. For now, it’s definitely a recommend from me!

I've waited several weeks before giving this review. I'm a side sleeper and like to have a firm pillow. I bought a panda bamboo pillow and have used that for years but it bunches up and loses it's shape and it was starting to give me a neck ache. I finally took the plunge and purchased the 5" Pillow Cube Side Sleeper Pro. When it arrived it was folded and kind of flat, the instructions said to wait and let it fill out and after a couple of hours it did. I was amazed at how comfortable it felt when I slept on it that first night! The next night was just as good and three weeks later I can confidently say this pillow is amazing! It has helped me sleep so much better without tossing and turning and my neck no longer hurts when I wake up. I was skeptical but now that I have used it, I am so happy I purchased it. I do have a couple of issues with it, the first is the cost, it's so expensive but the truth is I would buy it again. The second is, for about the first week it had a terrible smell. I finally put two pillow cases on it and that helped and thankfully the smell eventually went away entirely. The only problem I see going forward is I'm never going to be able to use a regular pillow again no matter how firm it is, so I'll have to take this with me when I travel!

14 month update: My full review is below, but updating that the foam is still holding strong and I'm still very happy with this pillow. It's great for falling asleep on my side - no shoulder pain - and also works great for me when I sleep on my back! I now travel with this pillow and am constantly putting it into a travel vacuum bag. Even so, the foam is still in great shape and bounces right back. I am a side-sleeper and was constantly waking up with an aching shoulder causing me to shift back-and-forth all night from one shoulder to the other. This pillow has completely eliminated that issue for me. For reference I am 6ft 160lb male. I've had no trouble with the pillow smelling (I let it air out for a day before I started using it initially). I've had no trouble with the pillow being hot or retaining heat. And lastly, after 4 months the foam has still NOT started to flatten out and it seems to have retained its original shape and dimension. This was a concern I had when I first ordered the pillow so happy to report that it does not seem to be a short term issue, although I'm sure some day it will start to loose its dimensions and flatten out since it is made of foam. Although I always intended to leave a review on the pillow after a few months, I was motivated to do so today after staying at a hotel this weekend without my pillow cube. Although the hotel bed was comfortable and the pillows beautifully plush, I again woke up multiple times with my shoulders hurting. I am thankful to be home again! Hope this review is helpful to someone out there.

I have tried just about every pillow on the market, all kinds of memory foam; shredded, cut up, solid blocks, curved, etc. I’ve tried down pillows, gel foam, you name it. I’m a hairdresser with neck and back issues, it was getting so bad when I slept that my arms would fall asleep almost nightly. My last hope was to try the pillow cube based on a recommendation from a family member who saw the commercial and suggested I order one and also at the recommendation of my physical therapist. I was skeptical as I had tried so many pillows already, but I figured I had nothing to lose especially ordering it on Amazon where they had easy free returns. I was blown away with this pillow. My neck has never felt this good sleeping, and no more arms falling asleep! (Unless I actually fall asleep on my arm lol). The squared off shape is so unique and fits perfectly into the gap between my neck and shoulder. The pillow is not too hard and not too soft, it has just the right amount of squish. And the support is unmatched without being too firm. I did the measurement the way they recommend u do it on the website, by laying on my side on stack of books til my neck was straight and then measuring that stack, my measurement was just between the 4” and the 5” pillow, I went with the 5” which is the standard one, and it’s perfect for me. I’ve already recommended this to a pregnant family member who is also a hairdresser, she has severe neck issues and hasn’t slept well in a long time, and even she said it was the best night sleep she’s had in forever. I like to write honest reviews for people on Amazon because you sometimes see what I think are robotic reviews, so hopefully if you’re on the fence about trying this, my review was able to provide true insight. The pillow comes vacuum sealed so I let it sit for about 12 hours to fluff up, I also did not have an odor coming from my pillow, however my niece’s pillow (which she ordered directly from pillow cube) had a slight Odor that she said dissipated after 24 hours. Best pillow I have ever tried, I’ve been using it about 2 months now and it’s still the perfect shape so far! Just try it you will not regret it!

The box pillow came in a 'small' box. It is a foam cube inside of a pillow case with zipper. After un wrappiig the plastic around the rolled up deflated pillow it will take on air and expand to the pillows intended size. What I noticed right afer this enlargement was a smell kind of like a hobby glue or maybe turpentine (we all smell things differently) that permeated the pillow cover which was around the foam. Took off the pillow case and discovered that the smell was coming from the foam inside. What to do. Return means findiing a larger box. So went to the product makers website through Amazon and this is some of the Chat, like chat because it gives a text to refer to at a later time. """ After two weeks of putting the foam out in the sun and later letting it sit out in the garage and then later in the house there is still a slight lingering smell. The pillow case hand washed out the smell after a couple of washes. Have not used the pillow as of this writing. Not sure what will do ultimately but wanted to pass on this information.

Went with this after reading reviews for many pillows meant for side sleepers, as I get a good amount of neck and back pain in the mornings. Plastic-y smell dissipates quickly. Very firm pillow. Feels comfortable when laying down at the start of the night with my shoulder pressed firmly into the pillow. Neck feels supported. However, I find that throughout the night when turning back and forth, I don't end up with that same neck support. The pillow requires you sleep in that exact position I think. So, not only am I still having neck/back issues after using the pillow for a week, but I feel that the pain has actually been worse. I will be returning this pillow and continuing my search for a side-sleeper pillow.
