Frigidaire FF75DISPC1 3/4 HP Corded Garbage Disposal for Kitchen Sinks

My unit was installed today, and the plumber said it is a nice garbage disposal. I am pleased with it so far for several reasons: 1. It is quieter than my 10 year old 1/3 power unit that I replaced. 2. A 10 year manufacturer warranty 3. Bioshield provides odor control 4. Silver Guard is a powerful magnetic ring designed to catch silverware or metal objects before they can fall into the grinder 5. Stainless Steel swivel impellers and cutting components, which works with a balanced turntable 6. Instant High Speed torque and High RPM permanent magnetic motor 7. A 3 foot attached power cord 8. A Easy to clean removable splash guard 9. A Stainless steel sink stopper 10. Large size for my household 3/4 HP 11. Easy install 3-bolt mount 12. A reset button The plumber said it was an easy install, but the unit came with its own sink drain ring, not the drain line, so my old sink drain ring had to be replaced with the new one. The plumber was able to integrate the garbage disposal with my existing plumbing lines, and only added one adapter to match the dishwasher drain hose. The plumber did an excellent, neat and tidy job! See the photos and know that I blocked out some places where numbers were showing in the photos.

So far so good! Much quieter than the Kenmore unit it replaced. Installation was straight forward and I had the whole job done in less that 20 minutes. It's only the 2nd time I've ever replaced one so I feel that I'm a novice at best. Does have a bit of a loud "clack" when first turned on and empty as the pulverizer blades spin outward. Handy magnet collar that is supposed to keep metal utensils from going into the unit but most of my silverware is stainless so it doesn't do me a lot of good but still a nice feature.

Replacing an Insinkerator "Badger 5" which lasted. six years. Leaking through motor. Bought this Frigidaire. PROS: Powerful 3/4 hp motor Stainless steel grinding chamber and blades. Exterior enclosure to reduce noise. Much quieter. Price as within $15 of the Badger 5. Wow Fits existing insinkerator mount. Did not need to remove/replace it Has a unique magnetic band which fits around the unit to help revent metal object from being chewed up or hurled back at you. Referred to as the Silver Band or similar....humorous in than silver is non magnetic. Took under 45 minutes to remove old and install new. Trimmed ABS as noted above. Plug is attached to unit. Plug and Play...or Plug and Grind! TEN YEAR WARRANTY! Very happy with it. CONS: (Very Minor, just to note) Due to sound enclosure, unit is wider. Required a 3/4" shortening of cross flow ABS pipe. Mounting plate to discharge pipe is metric. "old" unit bolts won't fit. Comes with all new hardware. Made in China.

Installed, it’s not as quiet as described. I’m not paying a plumber to take it down. It will have to work until such time.

I woke up to find our old garbage disposal leaking all over the under cabinet. A quick review and search on-line made me realize that this old 2 year warranty model had been admirably doing it's job for over 10 years and it was now time to get a new one. This Frigidaire model was available with same day shipping, had a plug in cord, which I needed, it and said it was compatible with any three screw sink mount. While it wasn't the cheapest of models available, it has a brand name I know and trust, and it was an upgrade in speed and power over my old one. While waiting for it to arrive, I removed the old disposal. This new Frigidaire unit arrived a few minutes after 5PM and was installed fully and running by 5:30PM. It was super easy to swap out with the same existing mount. I did not need any additional hands or help to do it. All I needed was a phillips head screw driver. If you don't have a lot of handy experience, there are great videos on You-Tube that can help you through it, but it's really very easy. This unit is great quality, and a great value!

Works great, easy install, comes with magnetic collar to catch metal from going down sink, but if your like me I have stainless steel utensils there not magnetic lol. Plumber wanted 400.00 to install saved a lot doing my self.

Easy to install, dependable, not quite as quiet as I imagined it would be but not bad either, water in the sink backs up a bit as the rubber sink stopper does not have quite enough holes in it for the water to drain into the unit with ease. The rubber stopper is nice though as it is easy to remove, enabling easy access to the bottom where the blades turn (obviously not to be done when the unit is on). I bought this because it came highly recommended by Consumer Reports. But after my experience with it, I don't think it deserved such a high rating.

This disposal is really quiet for a disposal.
