Remington Compact Ceramic Hot Rollers, 10-Piece Hair Roller Set

Perfect for travel as they are compact and dual voltage. My hair is very fine and very soft and needs a lot of heat to get a lasting curl and these do a great job equal to my VERY expensive T3 set. I bought two sets because they are relatively inexpensive. I put all the larger size rollers in one set and all the smaller size in the other set. I travel with the smaller size rollers because they help me to get a lasting curl. And I bring just two of the larger size rollers with me when I travelfor my bangs. When I take out my first two rollers to curl the rest of my hair, I pop on the extra two larger rollers and by the time I am done curling the rest of my head, the two larger rollers are ready. The only reason the carrying case would melt as another reviewer experienced, is if you covered it up while it was heating. I did not experience the rollers to be too hot to handle. Nor were they too hot on my head. I very enthusiastically and highly recommend these hot rollers! They have exceeded all of my hopes and expectations!!! I’m thrilled to have found something that works so well and is so compact for travel and also for storage in my bathroom.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by these Remington Compact Ceramic Dual Voltage Hot Rollers. They heat up quickly, are easy to use, and give my hair nice volume and soft curls without excessive heat damage. The ceramic rollers help reduce frizz and leave my hair looking smooth and shiny. I especially like the compact size and dual-voltage feature, which make them perfect for travel. They don’t take up much space in a suitcase, and I can use them internationally without worrying about voltage converters. The clips hold well, and the curls last several hours on my medium-length hair. For the price, this set delivers great results and is a convenient alternative to curling irons. Overall, a reliable, affordable styling tool that I would definitely recommend.

These were a great size but they were too hot for me to work with. If your fingers can handle the heat, great travel size. Hoping Remington will create a better travel size with more on the ends that are not as hot to the fingers

I have thick wavy (not in a good way) hair cut in a modern Sassoon bob, longer on the sides & shorter in the back. My hair is way below chin length, but doesn't quite reach my shoulders, still a sizable amt of hair to manage. My hair doesn't look good just air dried or blown dry, it must be styled or flat ironed. But, for the hot, humid summer I was looking for lower maintenance, less damage to my hair & a way not subject my hair to a lot of flat ironing. I'd never used hot rollers in my life. But, they seemed an option: a head full of longer loose curls. I didn't know if they would be a solution, so chose this inexpensive set as an experiment. Pros They heat rapidly, in the 90 seconds as promised in the instructions, so your time isn't wasted. They're definitely hot enuf to curl your hair, but not so hot that you can't easily handle them. No safety issues here, your fingers won't get burned. The sides stay cool, so very easy to handle. They keep their heat for about 10-15 min, so do curl nicely & also impart shine & bounce. Because of my natural wave, I only had to keep them in my hair for 5-7 min. The ten rollers were enuf for my big thick head of hair. The package is well designed: the rollers & metal pins all have a place in the soft plastic bag. The size is small, fantastic for traveling, very portable & a space saver for those who don't have much storage room in their home. You just plug the bag in & wait 90 sec. Easy! The price is incredible: $14.95. Push down on each roller till it snaps into place, then that will insure each roller will heat up. Cons You need to physically wind your hair around these rollers as there aren't many teeth or any Velcro to hold your hair to the rollers. There are a few "teeth" on the rollers & the hair does hold, just wind your hair around the rollers. The metal clips work &hold the hair in place but you do need to experiment w/a few different angles to insert them. After 3 rollers, I found the angle that worked for me: I insert diagonally, cross wise, from the bottom of the roller up vs insert the pin from top down. Summary I'm very pleased w/these. I may buy a 2nd set, so I have even more to use if my hair gets longer. After I got them, I noticed they were also in my local Target for a similar price. They would also make a terrific gift.

Advertises heating up in 90 seconds. Not even close. At 5 minutes they’re still barely warm You also have to ensure all curlers are seated /pushed down on the base or they won’t heat

This is my second set of these. The first set I bought for travel in the 80s or 90s. It was still working like new when I moved years ago and never saw them again. The box says they heat quickly (like 90 seconds) which isn’t remotely accurate but they heat ok in 5 minutes. If they get really hit you can’t hold them but I set my iphone alarm and they work as expected. The pins work fine. I tried different rollers years ago and these worked as well or better than the more expensive units. I assume there have been no real issues with this Remington product or it wouldn’t be on the market for decades and…it curls well. It would bee nice to have an auto shutoff however items that have this don’t seem to last as long so modern phone alarms do the job. These were a no brainer for me at the current price. I’m sure I paid quite a bit more for my first set. If you need these for travel they are the best. They are light weight, take up little space in my carryon and they have a soft cover rather than the hard plastic ones that easily break. Some tech just doesn’t need big updates. When this set came in I used it before eating out and received lots of compliments on my hair. It smooths out the hair which is nice in humid climates. I go between Vermont and NYC — crazy humid.

This is the first time I've had experience with hot rollers and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised with this little set. I was reluctant for years to try hot rollers because I was figured they'd be a waste of money. Curling irons never get a curl into my hair, ever. Even when I go to a pro, they struggle to get a curl into my hair. After seeing so many people recommend hot rollers especially for hair that's like mine, I decided to take a chance with hot rollers and decided to try this set since it's smaller and not as pricey as others on the market. From the picture and description, I thought that I'd need two sets to work all my hair into the rollers and I can actually get away with one set if I want looser curls. This look is good for everyday. I might need the second set for more tight curls. For reference, my hair is layered and the longest layer reaches the small of my back. I have lots of fine hair, as well. Like I said, I never had much success with anything else that's supposed to curl your hair but, with these, not only are they fast and easy, they curl my hair without an issue. HEAT: They heat up at a decent rate. I think they reach optimum temp. in about 3 minutes, unlike the description states. This isn't an issue for me but, if you were looking for something that heats up much quicker than that, these might be a disappointment to you. They hold their heat well while they are in your hair. Also, I don't have an issue where some curlers heat up and others don't like other people stated in their reviews but, to be safe, I always make sure that they are pushed all the way into the heating device while heating up. CLIPS: They come with their own clips. They are the metal kind and I've heard that these kind are the best since they don't leave marks or creases in your hair. I also, unlike other reviewers, didn't have an issue with these clips and their holdability. They stay put and don't flop around. I think that if you're having this issue, you might be putting too much hair around one roller. I can't be certain of that but, that's what I suspect. SIZE: These are definitely a portable set and if you plan to use these as a travel set, they are extremely compact. I like that they are compact because, unlike other sets, they don't have bulky cases that would take up far too much space in my bathroom. Even with my two sets, I feel like they're the perfect size and don't take up much space at all. Overall, I love these and I'd recommend them to everyone looking to purchase some hot rollers.

I purchased these rollers because I wanted a few 1-1/4" rollers and this set was the most economical way to do that. I don't love them but will keep them. What I like about them: --The "feel" of the rollers - sort of "rubbery" - (not flocked or velvet) is nice. I like a firm roller with little spikey nubbs. These are firm but not spikey. The texture does grip my hair when rolling... --They come with pins, which is my preference. All pins fit their designated rollers and hold securely. (Even though the pin tips are colored to differentiate the sizes, there is not enough contrast - so I have to sort them before I start rolling - it's really frustrating to have the roll all set and then to grab the wrong pin.) --They don't get insanely hot when left on ... and they are never so hot that they burn. What is interesting about this is that despite not feeling as hot as my other curlers, they curl just as effectively as the others. (The longest that mine have been on the base is about 45 minutes and they felt like they did when they were about 10 minutes in...) --Their compact size would make them ideal for travel, (but this is mixed too, because there aren't enough in the set to do my whole head...) What I don't like: --There is not an indicator light or a switch, so I have to be really aware of unplugging the unit when I am done. I'm fearful of forgetting to unplug these so I have my curler sets plugged into an extension cord that has it's own toggle, along with a lava lamp. If the lava lamp is on, so are the curler sets... one button turns everything on/off. --I don't care for how the rollers set into the base. They have prongs that have to be lined up correctly and they have to be pressed in so all the contacts touch. Because the case fits to the rollers so well, I have a hard time replacing them when I'm looking to swap out a roller. And that little pressured attachment has some resistance, I have to fumble to get a hot roller out with just one hand - (the other hand is usually holding the hair that's ready to be rolled...) Overall: I would return these if they cost more. But at $14, it would cost me half as much for the return postage. (There is nothing defective about this product, so the return postage would be on me...) That being said, it is nice to have the larger curlers. Even though I don't love them, they do what they're supposed to do. ------------ I initially rated this product at 3 stars ... (not that it matters much) ... but I appreciate that the manufacturer took the time to comment with their contact information. It made me go back and look at my review. It is an honest review about why I don't much care for this set, but the reality is that there is nothing wrong with it - it's just not to my taste. These curlers work as advertised and I can see how they might be perfect for others. I've added a star for unsolicited customer service.

Love Love Love these hot rollers! They heat fast, curl quickly, are easy to use. We travel full time so I need something compact. These are perfect. My hair feels so nice now, not dry like when using a curling iron. I’d 100% buy them again. Advice: make sure you push all the curlers down into their heating spot each time before use, or they won’t heat properly.
