Amazing - Print on the Go: HP OfficeJet 250 - All-in-One Portable Printer "Wireless"
I recently purchased the HP OfficeJet 250 - All-in-One Portable Printer and I have to say, it has made my life so much easier. As someone who is always on-the-go, the ability to print from both my phone and laptop has been a game changer. Setting up the printer was a breeze, thanks to its wireless and mobile printing capabilities. This feature allows me to seamlessly print from my phone or laptop without having to connect any cords or wires. Plus, the printer's compact size makes it extremely portable, making it perfect for travel or taking to meetings. The quality of prints is also impressive. The colors are vibrant and the text is crisp, just like any traditional printer. I am able to print documents, photos, and even scan important files all in one device. One of my favorite features of this printer is its long battery life. I can easily print multiple pages without having to worry about constantly charging it. This has saved me so much time and frustration. Overall, I highly recommend the HP OfficeJet 250 - All-in-One Portable Printer for anyone who needs a reliable and convenient printing solution. It truly lives up to its name as "Print on the Go." Amazing product!

Great printer but....
This is a great little printer. Super compact and will suit my purposes. I have a laptop that doesn’t come with a port for a CD so the included install CD was useless to me. I followed the setup instructions on the printer screen with no problems but was not able to print due to an error which said “encryption credentials have expired”. I called HP tech support and they don’t answer so you have to leave a message for a call back. Ugh. They called a couple hours later and were totally unhelpful. I finally had to end the call after 40 minutes and no resolution. Subsequently searched YouTube for that error message and apparently it’s a pretty common issue. There was a list of steps to follow which fixed the problem. I wouldn’t suggest not buying this printer since it is great, prints fast and really crisp but just be aware you may need to be patient with the setup. Of course you can always hook up with USB cable and skip the hassle.

HP has horrible, terrible, non-existent tech support.
Bought this printer because my sister has the exact same one and it works great. Setup was a breeze. I love that you can print from any device wirelessly as long as you are on the same network (phone, laptop, ipad...whatever). So the printer is fantastic. However, HP is worthless. Actually less than worthless. Turns out there are two (maybe three) Officejet 250 printers for your computer to discover when you hit 'Print' and for whatever reason the default is the one that is not on the network so the printer shows as offline no matter what troubleshooting you do. I spent HOURS trying to figure this out because it comes up nowhere in the installation documentation or in their online support (which is apparently the only option they have). HP virtual assistant was no help, their native troubleshooting software found nothing and when I finally was able an track down an HP support number (had to Google it b/c it is nowhere on the website) to talk to someone the line got mysteriously disconnected after being directed to the correct department and I'd been on hold for 15 minutes and when I called back I got stuck in the voice directory loop and it wouldn't register anything I said. Nice work HP. You suck. I was finally able to resolve the issue when I went on my Amazon page to return this $300 doorstop. There is an option for Amazon tech support. So I gave it a shot. This guy was so patient and helpful even though I was beyond frustrated and kind of taking it out on him at first. But after an hour on the phone we figured it out! And I am so grateful. Thank you Amazon! Julen was my Amazon tech support guy. He is not an HP employee and had no idea where to start helping resolve this issue but he stuck it out on the phone with me for an hour until we figured it out. He also struggled to find information on the HP site and in the online documentation. So please make no mistake, if this rating was based on the product and company that made it, I would give it zero stars. This 5 star review is for Amazon only. Bezos, maybe consider buying HP and straighten them out.

The best printer I have ever owned!
I have had this printer for 8 years, and it is still going strong. The print quality is amazing, and the cartridges seem to last a decent amount of time. I love that I can tuck this printer away so it is not sitting out on a counter. I have a carrying case, so it is easy to transport. I highly recommend this printer to anyone!

NOT Recommended for Mac users
Although this printer is compatible with Mac OS platforms, having used it for two years I hightly recommend STAYING AWAY from this model. CONS: Spotty connectivity with MAC OS that causes numerous print jobs to get stuck. The printer and computer both have to be on and out of their sleep mode in order for the job to sync. If the printer is in the process of powering on, or is asleep when you send the print job, most of the time it will not register and stay paused in the queue. This will then prevent any other jobs from completing and will necessitate restarting your MacBook and printer. The sleep mode kicks in far too quickly, even when plugged into AC power, and causes numerous complications for printing. On battery power, usage typically drains within a day and goes to sleep even faster. Ink usage is absurd, even on draft quality B/W printing. Expect maybe 250 pages on draft, half of that on regular, out of one B/W HP print cartridge. Color drains fairly quickly compared to other similar desktop printer moderls. Touch screen is cumbersome and far too small with icons. Expect to press wrong buttons unless you have pinpoint precision or delicate piano fingers. Both the touchscreen and printer cover get scratches and scuffs far too easily due to glossy cover. Sheen would have reduced this wear and tear significantly. Scan option likewise has issues connecting wirelessly to Macs. Recognition glitches happen often requiring either a reboot or a quick fix like scanning to USB drive. Quick scan also has no options for differentiating between Color or B/W. PROS: The only good thing this printer does is print beautiful photographs on gloss photo paper. Regular iPhone pictures come out sharp and color-perfect on a 4x6 or 5x7 format. FINAL VERDICT: No, this is not a 1-star printer, but I am rating it as such to warn potential buyers. I purchased this at a premium price expecting premium performance for a small desk footprint. My home office did not have a lot of space and I specifically wanted a compact printer that would not take up a large horizontal or vertical foothold. The price in particular is absurdly high compared to models that, while physically larger, will deliver far better results in terms of conserving your ink usage and stardard B/W and color printing. The only reason to consider purchasing this printer is if you wish to print beautiful glossy pictures from your iPhone or other camera pictures. But at the price point, you'll get far more value just sending them to an online printing service. EDIT: Fixed a couple small typos and spelling errors. Three years in now and still the same issues. I find myself using this printer only for color photos and for backup printing when my other laserjet workhorse is out of toner or in use by my family.

Great printer/scanner
Had issues setting up, had to download a troubleshooter from the website. Once I got it going it works great. Love the ability to immediately print a picture or pdf from my phone. The set up is the only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5. Updated reveiw: Still a great printer, i take it to work in my workvan, prints fast, battery lasts (I charge it once a week), can print from phone or computer. Had to scan a document into my computer for the first time today and it took me a few minutes but still did a great job. Still trying to figure out to scan and send via email from the printer, keeps saying theirs an error but all i do to fix that is scan it into computer and send to email that way. One thing i would change is just the overall construction, since it is a mobile printer it should be alot more durable. Maybe if anything that uses a hinge should be aluminum construct like the back of paper tray or scanning tray. Maybe incorporate rubber on the corners, for guys who take the printers in work vans for invoicing like me. Also ink is very expensive but still worth it, I would personally pay another $100 for the durablity I stated above. Overall great printer!

Good printer just dont have to buy replacement ink
Great HP color printer. Picked up a protective case and it travels really well. Unfortunately it has the same problems I have always found with HP, hard to set up wireless printing (appears to be the spooler) and HP replacement ink is more expensive than gold or saffron. I dont know how HP continues to get away with it. I don't know why they never have a class action or a congressional investigation for price fixing and software that will disable your printer if you use knock off ink at about 1/10 the price. Just so unfair. But! it is a great ptinter.

Quiet to print, easy set up
I had no issues setting up this printer and I am basically a hapless Luddite. The only thing that stymied me was when the diagram told me to remove a piece of foam and tape inside the printer. Spent 10 minutes trying to find something that was not there. The printer is the quietest printer I have ever heard. You do not place the ink cartridges into the printer until you have charged up the battery, which took about an hour. There are only 2 ink cartridges for this printer. The exterior of one has a pink top and the other has a black top. You place each one next to its corresponding color inside the printer and pull the plastic piece whose color matches the cartridge over top of the cartridge until it snaps onto the two horizontal tabs on the top of the cartridge. You must com0lete either the online setup or the setup with the included disk for the scanner to work. I set up online since my laptop has no CD or DVD slot. The online setup worked well. You just sit back and let it do its thing. I only plan on using this printer when I travel so it will not get constant use. I like its compact size. It is so small it even qualifies for Sprint Airlines "personal item" to carry onboard without charge. UPDATE: I have taken this on 2 trips and TSA never asked to see it or have it turned on when I put it through screening at the airports. The printer works very well. I know I use it more on trips more than it is designed for, about 300 pages printed a week and the same number of pages scanned, (the manual says it is designed for 300 printed pages a month) but it has never jammed or even hiccupped. It is still new but with the heavy usage I think if there was a problem it would have surfaced by now.

A great buy! Useful and small and so far solid
We live in a small condo, so can’t have a larger printer just taking up space. This small printer is solidly built, meant to be stowed to be on the road (I sprung for a carrying case - it cost just over a hundred, but also really well made), and it works really well in such small living quarters. Just printed up everything I needed for my corporate taxes, and everything printed up really well! A couple weeks ago I scanned in a tax document, got it sent to my email, pdf’d all nice and neat... I’m really enjoying this handy thing. I have not printed any photos, but for printing documents and scanning, this has done really well. This printer has only been with us for a month, so I may come back to update, but so far, it’s a great product.
