I purchased the Dxyiitoo 1080P Projector on Amazon to display a movie/slideshow at a hotel while celebrating an anniversary. The projector offers several connection options, but in this review I’ll focus on the setup method we used and the results we experienced. Setup We created an iMovie and played it from a MacBook Pro. Since my laptop uses USB-C, we connected it using a USB-C to HDMI adapter. From there, we used the included HDMI cable to connect the adapter to the HDMI port on the side of the projector. We projected the image onto a portable 150" foldable projector screen and used the projector’s adjustment controls to fine-tune the image until it was crisp and clear. Because this was an important event, we tested everything in advance. Getting the image perfectly aligned—especially with text—does take a little tweaking, but the projector makes adjustments very easy. It only took a few seconds to dial everything in. With a 150" screen, you’ll need to experiment a bit with projector distance to fill the screen properly. Audio Although the projector has a built-in 3.5mm audio jack, we chose to connect the laptop via Bluetooth to an external speaker. This worked very well for our needs since we were in a large room and wanted broader sound coverage. I did test the projector’s built-in audio, and it worked just fine, but for larger spaces an external speaker is definitely the better option. Video Quality We were all genuinely surprised by how good the image quality was—crystal clear and very impressive. We later set it up at home to watch a sporting event and a movie, and it was a big hit there as well. Other Technical Notes Since this is an LED projector, the bulb doesn’t get hot. Anyone who remembers older projectors knows how hot those bulbs could get—this isn’t an issue here, which also makes it safer for kids to be around. One feature that was slightly less impressive was streaming directly from a smartphone. To do this, the projector needs to be on the same Wi-Fi network as your phone, allowing you to cast content directly. While this did work, we noticed some lag. It wasn’t terrible, but it also wasn’t perfect. Using a wired connection from a laptop delivered much better results. Overall Value The value is absolutely worth it. The projector is very fairly priced and delivers a lot of performance for the money. I highly recommend it. The main reason we bought this setup was that the hotel wanted to charge nearly $1,500 for a projector, screen, and an on-site AV technician. We purchased both the projector and screen for about one-fifth of that cost—and now we own them. That alone made this purchase an easy decision.

We’ve purchased this projector a few months ago so that we can still have movie nights at home as we had gotten rid of our last tv! I purchased this particular projector because it seemed like a good deal for a good product and it turned out to be just the case! What I like most about the projector is the quality and the brightness! I had originally thought we would be only watching movies in the evenings but the lighting is so crisp and bright that that kids watch it all day long without any issues! Defeats my purpose of getting rid of the tv’s to only be able to watch movies at night, but i can’t complain about having a good quality product!

Tried his out with our large Epson screen for a kids movie night. I was impressed with how good the picture quality was. It held up to the late afternoon light filtering into our room though the bonds and curtains on the window, which impressed me. I’m not sure the picture quality is as good as our more expensive Epson projector that we got years ago, but that one got lost in the move along with a lot of other things, like my whole good knives set and knife block. Pause to weep for me please. Anyway, moving on. This projector connected well to the wireless link or blue tooth, can’t remember which it was as it’s been a couple weeks. We could also connect it to our portable BluRay player with HDMI cable. I linked it to my Marshall speaker via blue tooth as the speaker is not great on it, though it’s no worse than the more expensive projector’s speaker was for that matter. The link was easy and the sound better through the little Marshall Stockwell speaker. Anyway, movie night was a success, and considering the cost of a night out at the movie theater and popcorn and soda, I imagine we’ll recoup the cost of the projector in two or three movie nights. Interesting note, about two-three weeks after we used the projector, I found the old one in the garage in a box of unrelated items with no label. Sadly, the knives are still missing. I purchased a portable projector stand for it as there is only one direction keystone correction on it, but the savings on the cost of the projector compared to some of the more expensive ones easily covered the cost of the stand.

Years ago, I bought an expensive Mitsubishi projector for business use, and was very satisfied although it cost more that $2000. So I was a little suspect about buying such an inexpensive projector. I needn't have worried. This little gem outperforms the older one by several magnitudes. The picture is HD, clear, bright, and easy peasy to set up and adjust. It accepts all kinds of input, and works great with my laptop, iPad, and iPhone. Love the Bluetooth. It's lightweight, portable, and comes with all the accessories you might need in a convenient padded case. Boy, things have come a long way in this area of technology.

We brought this camping and had movie nights. We had no service so we used an SD card with downloaded movies. We used a Bluetooth speaker to make it louder. Great picture quality and simple to use. We actually bought a different brand, returned it and bought this one.

This projector is nice, it comes with a little case to carry all the accessories and the projector itself which is also perfect when you need to store it. The built in speaker is louder than expected which is awesome!!!

The set up was easy and it was compatible to my Bluetooth speakers!

This projector works great - there is just one small issue - and it could be our slides, but the copy and/or the imagery on some of the slides was blurry in spots. I tried all of the adjustments and couldn't get it sharp. It still worked just fine.

To my surprise, I got more than expected for a quite low cost. Picture quality and brightness are extraordinary for such a small projector. Sound is also decent, however, I am using b; Bluetooth to enhance the quality of the sound. Overall, I would recommend the product for all above-disclosed benefits. Amazon delivery was excellent and on time as usual - that's my experience through many years of ordering with Amazon.
