Authentic Models Flight Mobile with 1920's Vintage Airplanes

As you can clearly see, the Flight Mobile looks great in the reading station, especially with my added red Sun Art-Glass. Actually, the Sun is necessary to complete the presentation, for it gives the planes purpose, as far as narrative goes. Of course the art disc is not attached to the mobile, for it is relatively heavy, considering the chief supporting string is no nanotechnology, nor is it made of strong silk. The thread is probably made of polyester-cotton blend, at best.This is definitely an indoor decor with very slow air current in the room, only if you wish to keep the strings intact for a long time, right? The height of my station's ceiling from the ground is eight feet, and it does not bump my head. With my set up, the bottom of the green plane reaches down to 22.5 inches. Keep in mind, my set up is very close to the ceiling, about a 1 2/3 inch to the ceiling.Planes are mostly made of wood, including the spinners. The wheels are made of plastic. I did not "over check" the other parts, just in case they snap in two. Nevertheless, the planes seem quite solid and strong, not cheap, but one should never push it.The colors are excellent without looking childish. Ignore the plastic-like, overly glossy, Amazon generic-photos, these planes look better in person, especially if you love that retro-look. The mobile is something for everyone to collect, or show off.

My 4 month old loves this mobile. He stares at the brightly colored planes as they float thru the air and does not miss that he doesn't have music or lights with it at all. I like the classic look and the fact it will grow with him and become an art piece in his room as he gets older. Each plane is well constructed though a person with a bit of patience and a great eye for detail could construct similar model airplanes easily and make a similar product. I wish some of the planes did not have stickers and were 100% hand-painted. The trade off (besides the price) with this mobile is that it is heavier and more durable but hence it takes a pretty good push to keep it going longer than 5 minutes for my infant to gaze at. I like how the product comes with excess string to hang from whatever height ceilings you may have though.

I bought this mobile when my son was born over two years ago and it was a great choice. I wanted an authentic looking aviation-themed mobile for over the crib and after a long unsatisfying search, I finally found this one. He has always loved this mobile. The planes are not of cheap quality. We have had no problems with the string (or maybe its fishing wire) attachments, they have held up nicely, even being repeatedly whacked by a toddler standing up in his crib!. He has a fan in his room and part of his daily bedtime routine since age 1 is watching his planes 'start up' after we turn on the fan. They start to move within a few seconds. Even without the fan to propel them, you can also give them a little nudge and they will move around to my son's delight for several minutes. I highly recommend this product for its pleasing aesthetics and simple but good functionality.
