Will absolutely be buying more!
I love this Otis automatic vacuum switch. It’s easy to use and works perfectly every time. I use it for my shop vac so can’t comment on connecting it to a dust collection system. I looked at a few of the other switches before purchasing this one and none were suited for my needs. Others were two plugs for vacuums and only one for tool. The Otis switch is designed so that two tools can be plugged in at once with the ability of either one to trigger the vacuum. I’ve used it on a variety of tools including my job site table saw and a small router table without any problems. I’ve dragged it around, dropped and stepped on it multiple times and still no issues. Lately I seem to be using my miter saw most often so the switch is now mounted next to the saw but still accessible so that I can reach it and plug in whatever other tool I may need. I like having the option to turn the switch to auto, off, or on. The shut off delay times also come in handy depending on the circumstance. I plan on buying a few more of these switches so that I can mount permanently next to stationary tools and have at least one that will be mobile so I can drag it around as needed.

Great autoswitch to trigger vacuum dust collector when I turn on my saw.
Works great with a vacuum and saw. I use this to automatically turn on a shop vac connected to the dust port of my saws when the saw is activated. It turns on the vacuum instantly and helps me keep sawdust, and cleanup, at a minimum.

Works great in our shop
We use this in our shop for an air filtration setup that sits near our table saw. Does exactly what it should do for over a year now.

Extremely helpful in a small shop!
I built a workbench that has my table saw on one end and my miter saw on the other. Having both of them plugged into this device along with my Dewalt shop vac has been a great timesaver. I no longer have to plug/unplug a saw and hook it back up. I like that there is a time delay which clears out all the sawdust once the saw has stopped.Definitely one of the best purchases for my small workshop in the garage.

Very useful in a shop
While this automatic vacuum switch does very well, technically the infeed cable that comes already attached to it is way undersized. Let's just think logically: you plug into this automatic switch a table saw whitch can draw 15A. In addition, you plug in your shop vacuum which, in my case, draws 10A (I use a 6HP Ridgid shop vac). That is a total of 25A all together. Now do you remember about the cable that feeds everything, that one that is attached to this automatic switch? That cable is only 14 AWG which means it can handle MAX. 15A, according to UL and all other codes. How am I suppose to feed my 25A needs through a 15A cable?! Do you think that is safe?!While using this switch with a miter saw and a shop vac is not a problem (since you operate that miter saw for short periods of time with more time OFF that ON), using a table saw through this switch is different because that saw is ON for much longer time.Wouldn't that be a great upgrade to have a 10AWG feeding cable to accomodate some powerful tools that we constantly use in our home shops?! Just doing the math with the numbers that are already printed on the switch's face... is adds up to 30A!!!Not to mention that the plug at the end of that cable is meant for a MAX 15A.And there is no mention about user being aware of the amount of amps he is going to draw through this device and/or the necessity of a larger power circuit to accomodate that amount of amp... 🤔Other than that, is works fantastic! I have ordered a 3ft 10AWG extension cord to fix this issue and also a 125V/30A relay to accomodate my dust collection system.Just a word from a user that seems to know more than just woodwork.

Works well from mitre saw to shop vac
I am using this to start my shop vac from the mitre saw. It works as expected and I really like the ability to adjust the lag time before the vac shuts off after sawing.

Great Product
Liked this so much I bought 2 more. I love that you can turn the vac on with a touch of a button. I also like that it plugs into the outlet with a cord and allows you to still use the other half of the receptacle.
