Protec Trumpet Mute Bag with Modular Divider, Model M400

There is NOTHING I did not like about this mute bag. The high quality vs relatively low price is amazing. The nylon is VERY thick, durable and not stiff. It's very light weight. I have a straight and a plunger mute in the bag and there is considerable room to spare, enough to easily hold two large mutes by themselves. For a small bag, the pocket in front is a large size. The inside of the bag has very soft and durable material that won't scratch the mutes. The thick padded adjustable divider inside has enough Velcro on it to easily hold it in place. The two double sided zippers are good quality, slide easily and sewn on well. The heavy duty nylon handle on top is sewn on well and is a nice addition. The heavy duty adjustable shoulder strap is very durable and is sewn together well. The nylon loops that are sewn to the bag to hold the plastic loops for the strap are also sewn on well. The whole bag is sewn together very well. The clips for the strap are strong quality. I agree with one reviewer that wrote that you can't put in many mutes in this bag like, other reviewers have stated. Hence, in the description of this bag states it is a two mute bag for a good reason, because it is for only two mutes plus the front pocket. If there were six stars I would have given it that. It's to bad that every thing is not made as well as this bag is.

Very nice mute bag! I am very satisfied with it ProTec is one of my favorite brands. You can fit maybe 4-5 or more different mutes in side I will attach some photos. Also comes with a divider on the inside of the bag as well as a strap and name tag.

This mute bag is exactly what I was looking for. It’s a great size for carrying to and from gigs and is very lightweight. The material is thick and durable, which protects my mutes very well. I can typically fit 4 mutes in here, which is more than I expected to! It also has a zip pocket in the front which is great for storing other non-mute items. I’m very happy with this purchase and think I will be for a long time! I highly recommend this product to anyone who might be on the fence about purchasing.

I bought this Protec mute bag because at times there isn’t enough room in my gig bag for all the mutes I need. While I appreciate the included shoulder straps, I am more likely to use the stitched in hook to attach it to my gig bag. I often play solo gigs with recorded music backing. I find this bag is a good fit for my speaker, so I can pack said speaker, clip it to my gig bag, and go audition for more gigs. Then again, those shoulder straps could come into play . . . . Very happy, highly recommended!

Not really much to complain about here. A great bag from a good, reputable company. I can fit Jo-Ral Bubble mute, straight mute, cup mute, plunger, and a stand in here with no issue, and the soft liner helps keep away scratches and dings. Could be a bit cheaper, but knowing Protec products it will probably last forever, so no qualms about paying a little extra.

High School trumpet player has beaten this thing through marching band season, out of town bus trips and concert band season. Its held up to that abuse and still fine.

This mute bag is awesome! The bag is really well made with really nice padding all inside the case that protects my mutes well and doesn’t case them to move around. I can fit my straight, harmon, practice, and solo tone all in one bag.

I use this to carry my Harmon and cup mute on one side of the bag and two bottles of water on the other side. Needless to say, it stores a lot. Protects my mutes pretty well, but I also have pre-damaged mutes, so it's a bit hard to say. Lightweight bag but quite thick and protects pretty good. Functions as intended and then some. I keep a battery bank, phone/iPad cable, and microfiber cloth on the front zipper pocket. There's also a small carabiner-esque clip on the top-back of the bag, I use it to clip to one of my D-rings that's intended for the sling that came with my case but since I use my case backpack style, it's just hooking it up and makes it easier to carry as a package.
