I ended up getting a "gel infused" foam mattress at Walmart (twin size - I had to cut to size) and that made the mattress much more comfortable. I also found on Amazon a cot size mattress pad to hold those two together and make it even more comfortable. **Q: Does the bed come made or do I have to build ?** A: The bed is completely made with the exception of the wheels!
