When water becomes cloudy, I remove pump, net goldfish & tadpoles, put them in small goldfish bowel then empty pond water, scrub pond bottom & walls, put new rain water in pond (from two 50 gal.rain barrels, then return goldfish & tadpoles to pond. **Q: What is the water lift for it? I need it to lift through a 1/4" pipe about 2 feet** A: That's pretty much what I've got mine set up to do; it's in a large pot of water, with the head of a water fountain about a foot above, for a total of a little more than two feet from ground to fountain spout. **Q: How many gph is the pump ?** A: This is a bad product. It is a defective Chinese design that doesn't start reliably in sunlight, it just hangs up internally and doesn't provide power to the motor. You can start it manually by covering and then uncovering the panel quickly. What good is that if you want it to work unattended. This kind of badly produced product should not be rewarded with a purchase.
