Review: Battery inefficiency - Worked great the first time. Now it wonโt hold a charge!! Very disappointing. Did I get duds for batteries or are your products really this unreliable Review: Battery life better than I expected, excellent mower - I live on a 1.25 acre lot with about .5 acres of grass. I wanted to move away from using gas mowers, but I was afraid I wouldn't be about to mow enough of my yard with a purely electric mower. After trying this mower from Greenworks, I was wrong! Now... I can't mow my *entire* yard on a single charge, but this mower does allow me to mow about 2/3 in one go. That's fine by me, however, since I typically split my mowing into two sessions anyway. I use a combination of self propel and good old fashioned muscle power. The more you use the self propel, the lower your range will be. If you don't use it at all, your range will be much higher. I haven't had any real reason to use the turbo button yet (I do press it occasionally because it's fun to press a button that says TURBO and hear the motor go VRRRRRM), but it's a nice feature nonetheless. And if I wanted to, I could buy two more 24v batteries and get everything done all at once, or four more batteries and probably just mow forever. That's always an option with electric mowers. More batteries = more mowing, if you're willing and able to spend the money. In every other way, this mower is better than I expected. Easy to put together and get going, good looking, cuts well, pleasantly quiet. No complaints whatsoever, honestly. So yeah, for an occasional self propel user like me, I would say: Small yard (.5 acres), gas is still probably the way to go.

So yeah, for an occasional self propel user like me, I would say: Small yard (<.3 acres) definitely buy it. Medium yard (.3-.5 acres) probably buy it. Larger yard (>.5 acres), gas is still probably the way to go.

Lawnmower works great, is easy to clean and the battery pack provides enough power to mow a lot.
The lawnmower works great, is easy to clean and the battery pack provides enough power to mow my front, side and back yard. Easy and fast charging. I love how it stand up to save space in the garage and also the self propel is very good with various speeds. I highly recommend this, once you go self-propel, you will not go back to a pushing lawn mower.

So easy to assemble and use.
At first I was a bit skeptical but the more I used it the more I liked it . It's lighter and is easier to handle than my old gas mower. So I'm not as tired when I'm finished. It's so easy to operate, just install the battery packs and push the button. It's super quiet which is nice when your neighbor is on night shift. When you've finished, just pop out the batteries and put them in the charger. No gas being stored in the garage or trips to the gas station,no oil to purchase. What I'm saying is it's maintenance FREE. Really like this new electric mower, good quality easy to use and gets the job done. I would purchase the same product again. Thank you Amazon for the friendly and exceptional fast delivery.

So glad my gas powered mower died
I love this mower. Out of the box it took 5 minutes to put together. First battery charge took a couple of hours. Cutting slightly wet thick grass, it never bogged down. Nice even cut. It was so quiet, I took a call while mowing! I had to mow until after dusk, the LED lights were helpful. The charge lasted well over an hour. I only used the self propel option when on an incline, it's plenty light to push. I used the mulching option, it worked well, only a few areas where I saw the clippings- should have hit the turbo option in the really tall grass. The one handle cut height adjustment is easy to use. So happy with this purchase, as I am with my 5 other Greenworks battery powered lawn equipment tools purchased previously. It's environmentally freindly, neighbor friendly and pet friendly. And, I almost forgot, when you are putting the handles together you can adjust the angle of the handles to your height- Amazing.
