Andrew Chapman for the win. The 167 refers to the amount of "microencapsulated SR caffeine" needed to produce the effect of 100 mg of caffeine, which is what you will get in each capsule. The type, source, and processing may matter on how clean the net effect you will receive. I have no personal experience with this product, but since I commented, I am going to try it next.

It can vary person to person, on my behalf it's such a steady and controlled release, that its effects aren't immediately noticeable until you take a step back and realize you didn't need your routine cup of coffee you may have previously went for. But again it can vary, if you eat before you take it, that can make its effects less noticeable. But all in all it's delayed and throughout the day sort of release.
