We have his and hers, this one and a red one. the bombillla (straw) is easy to clean. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the ceramic conducts heat really well and can be to hot to hold. A traditional plant gourd is naturally insulated and protects your hands a little. Solution, let your Mate cool enough to hold the ceramic gourd and then if it doesn't burn your hand it won't burn your mouth either. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Couldn't have asked for a better product! *by K***H on Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2017* Amazing cup, not only is it very aesthetically pleasing (the pictures on amazon don't do it justice), but the functionality is great. The notch keeps the bombilla in place perfectly. The mug does get a bit hot to the touch but I actually like that aspect because I know that when it becomes comfortable to hold then it is a perfect temp to drink. I've owned many gourds and have been drinking matè on a consistent basis for the last 5 years and this is by far the best I've owned.
