But because of the small window, it is slower to acquire the dot than with a normal sized red dot, though. I'm sad to say that I believe that it will always be a little slower than a normal red dot to acquire a sight picture. Some Operaters out there will cry, "proper presentation!", but I believe that the need for self defense doesn't always happen when both your hands are free and you are square on with a target. However, I have discovered that the enclosure tube of the red dot is small enough to work as a reliable ghost ring sight for close-up targets. With medium and long distance targets, I believe one can spend the extra tenth of a second to acquire a proper sight picture. I needed up liking this a lot more than my Holosun. I like how easy it was to install. I did not have to cut my slide, so I just installed it myself. I was surprised how close the red dot and iron sight was to each other before I even started zeroing it with a bore laser. So far, I had no issues getting a sight picture during dry fire. I am able to acquire the sight picture pretty quickly. The alignment feels very natural. I have not gone to the range to confirm zero yet. I am updating my review of this product after having taken it to the range. I did not confirm zero. It was already zeroed. I show standing about 7 yards and I practiced with it the rest of the day with no problem. I even shot it at 40 yards with one miss out of 10. My instructor made in back up to 50 yards and finally I started missing. It is very easy to aim. It feels very natural to me.
