Hello. It depends on the thickness of the case. The phone mount opens to 85mm. Your phone is 78.1mm. That leaves just under 7mm for the case. That’s just a 1/4 inch for the case.

Has this been used on a motorcycle at freeway speeds?

I’m sorry, but I do not know. I have used these parts on my bike. I have not had any issues, but that’s not nearly the same thing. I hate to lose a sale, but you might want to look for an all aluminum solution. That’s would be your safest bet on a motorcycle.
