The Best Masala Chai Tea I've Found
I have tried a lot of loose leaf Chai Teas, and this is the best I've found. The flavor is fresh and rich and complex, but not overbearing. You can enjoy it with just sugar and no milk, or as it was traditionally meant to be enjoyed, with milk and sugar. One note of instruction: the powdered spices in this Masala Chai Tea have a beige coloration in contrast to the back color of the tea, and the spices tend to separate from the tea a bit when they are in the bag. Be sure to take a spoon and mix it up a bit for uniformity. You don't want to get too much of the powdered spice in your spoon full of loose tea that you are using to make a cup of tea... or it will be far too spicy. I would also point out that Ghograjan Tea Estate makes one of the best Breakfast Teas I've ever had, which they call "Assam Breakfast". I've purchased a full pound of each of these two teas from them, and the following year, I purchased another full pound of each. Both their Chai and Assam Breakfast Teas are "pelletized" teas made with the CTC ("Crush, Tear, Curl") method, so they do not look like little flakes or leaves, as many loose teas do. Don't be turned off by this. A lot of "Tea Snobs" turn their noses up at CTC Tea as though it were somehow a cheaper or lower-grade of tea, and that is simply not true. Indeed, the CTC type teas, in my experience, have the boldest and richest flavor. One thing that particularly strikes me about the Ghograjan Tea Estate teas, is how very fresh they taste. There is no "overly-processed" taste here... these teas are plucked from the tea farm grounds, processed, vacuum-packed, and in your hands quickly. If you try them, I think you will be very impressed.

This is my favorite chai that I have found here on Amazon
I stopped drinking coffee years ago and searched for something that was warm and tasty in the morning and came across chai tea and fell in love with it years ago. I started with the Tazo preblended but found them to be too sweet and then slowly worked my way through all of the major brands but generally found them to be too sweet, or too gingery, or too peppery. I wanted a chai where you could taste the tea but that would have a complex flavor with a variety of spices and this tea is the best that I've found. I'm on my 3rd 16oz. bag and I ordered another one tonight. About my only issue is that I like a stronger cardamom flavor and so I add that myself when I get the bags to tune the flavor to exactly what I like. But aside from adding a bit more cardamom, this tea is it. It tastes and smells delicious, and the quality of the tea and ingredients is excellent. If you are looking for something super spicy - either in the ginger or the pepper sense - then this might be a bit bland, but if you want something that tastes complex and yet you can still taste the flavor of the tea itself, this is really good chai.

Good tea
Good flavor, I was hoping for more "spice", but it tastes good.

This is some of the best tea I have tasted in 30 years!
I have moved from tea bags to loose tea since the stay and work from home order was issued to our company in March 2020. I have drunk many of the well known teas including even from Fortnum and Mason over the decades, but THIS tea is just in a class of its own. I had heard about Assam tea years ago but never tried it. This is the real deal from the packaging, the aroma that hits you went you open the bag is just wonderful and the tea itself is so smooth. I will be buying more of it. I also liked the video of the history behind the tea farm that was sent to me when I ordered the product. Nice touch! Quality through and through!

Not a "rip roaring" spicy tea but tasty, very smooth and subtle
I purchased a pound of this tea because I really love their black tea. I am a big fan of Chai. This is not a "rip roaring" spicy tea. I'm used to a spicier Chai but this tea is very smooth and subtle. It has a very light, pleasing taste and not over powering. It is very good with milk and sugar. This tea does not have black pepper in it which is OK with me because I do not like black pepper in my Chai. The caffeine content provides a good boost in energy. Tip: Since this is Chai, use twice as much, use very hot water and let it infuse for 5-10 minutes or more. It needs to infuse longer because the spices need longer flavor the tea. When you receive the bag, shake it to mix the contents before you use it because the spices settle to the bottom of the bag.

The absolute BEST Masala Chia tea I have ever had...
One of the best Masala Chia tea I have tasted... I have ordered an additional 2 pounds of this tea... ****Addendum and update 10/19/2016: I have since ordered an additional 2 pounds of this amazing Masala Chia Tea. Again I cannot put into words how amazing this tea is to the senses. The aroma is stunning, the color is a beautiful deep amber, and the flavor is so vibrant and very pleasing. If you want a true and traditional Masala Chia, this is it... This is a tea to share and savor as friends or alone as a nice soothing sensory experience.... This is a must have addition to any tea lovers collection. No I am NOT a paid to try and post my review. I happened across this tea by chance when searching for a new Masala Chia to try.

Excellent Chai Tea for the Money
I've bought this Chai Tea a couple of times now with the main attraction being that I don't like a sweet Chai which is what you get when you order Chai from most coffee shops. I prefer the homemade version from Indian restaurants. This allowed me to get much closer to the Indian Restaurant experience and only make single servings. I fill 1/3 of my cup with milk, usually 2% and 2/3 with filtered water. I transfer that to a saucepan and use a loose tea stainless steel infuser filled with 1 TBSP of tea leaves which I place in the pot. I heat the tea until it froths and pour it all in my mug and add a little bit of honey. Its an excellent pick me up after lunch in the afternoons.
