The MUZZYS A/C Hack Kit is a premium, easy-to-install bypass mod designed specifically for 2019-2025 Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks with weak factory A/C. It fixes the heater core blend door defect by rerouting coolant flow using a clamp-on shut-off valve and hose, delivering 8°-15° cooler air without permanent modifications or triggering engine lights. Compatible with both gas and diesel models, this durable metal kit offers a cost-effective, reliable alternative to dealer HVAC system replacements.

Coolant shut off
Installed on my 2021 Ram 2500. Helped with the ac cooling better. Easy to install fit perfectly, and decent quality. Works as intended. Traded the truck in 2025 and still was working as it should.

Works as described.
Installed after my '20 Ram a/c felt a little too humid and warm. Installation is a little difficult when you're trying to remove the original hose. That hose just doesn't want to come off. Once you're past that point, installation is easy. After running the truck for about five minutes, the a/c temp dropped about 5-8 degrees. When driving in the town, the temp is very comfortable now. A great solution to a poor original design.

Works great
The install was easy. Didn’t lose much antifreeze during installation. I had to really tighten the supplied hose clamp down to stop a drip. A must have for the 5th gen Ram. Huge difference in A/C performance.

READ THIS!!!!!
Okay I’m making this to help you guys out. Install was a pain. The factory hose is glued so you gotta man handle it to get it off. KEY NOTE: coolant is going to start shooting out of that hose when you pull it off. Make sure your vehicle has sat and is cool before doing this so you don’t get third degree burns. Also! Make sure when you get the new replacement on you top the coolant off with the valve open. If you do not do this your vehicle will overheat when driving. Once it’s topped off and coolant has circulated you can then close the valve. Hope this helps! Made my ac a LOT colder. Great investment.

It works!
Probably one of the best things I’ve stumbled across on Amazon. Such a simple fix and easy for any skill level to install. I have a 2019 Ram and on full blast, the a/c was reading around 64 degrees. After the install it was reading 42.1 degrees In the dead heat of the south. It’s been on the truck for over a year with zero issues!

If you’re debating, just do it
I was never happy with the temperature of the AC in my 2019 Ram (especially compared to my 25 yr old Jeep which chucks ice cubes at my face) but it wasn’t quite bad enough to bring it into the stealership. Prior to installing the valve, I took a 25 minute drive and read the AC temperature with the thermometer, 59°. After installing the valve, I took another 25 minute drive on a day with similar outdoor temperature and checked again, 39°. I then opened the valve and let the truck sit there and watched the temperature climb up 13° over 4-5 minutes. Massive difference. Worth every penny, my only regret being I didn’t buy this earlier. I didn’t use the hose that came with the kit. I just cut out a 1 inch section of the hose that was already there and slid the valve on. It does take a bit of work to get the valve into the hose - I took a little bit of 10w30 and put it around the barbs on the valve to help slide in easier. You will lose some coolant in the process, but not a ton. Definitely have a jug of coolant on hand and check your coolant level a few drives after installing this to ensure it’s still full.

Works Great! Fairly Easy Install
It’s a very noticeable difference for your AC. I installed this today on my 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel 5.7 Hemi non-ETorque. It’s not gonna make your AC Ice Cold like other vehicles but does drop the temp quite a bit. The install was fairly easy, but the provided hose diameter is small so it takes a bit on man handling and tight grip strength to get the hose to attach to the provided ball valve and the factory hose. You will loose some coolant during install so I recommend having a pan to catch the coolant that drains. You won’t loose a lot of coolant but I went and bought more and topped off the reservoir just to be safe. Defiantly worth the $22!

Great Kit!
If you own a 2019 or 2020 Ram 1500, 5th Gen, here is your answer to a poor performing AC system. There is a known fault with the blend door actuator in the dash which doesn't allow the door to completely close when using the AC in warmer months. The problem is the dealer has to yank out the whole dash to get to it and fix it. No sir.... I didn't want to lose the use of my truck for who knows how long and then end up chasing rattles for the rest of the time I owned the truck due to the dash being removed and reinstalled. This valve installs easily and does the trick. I leave it full open from November through the end of April, but by May in Texas it starts heating up. I run it halfway closed until June where I close it off completely until it cools off and I might need to run the heater or defroster. If the weather changes up really quick though, you can easily pop the hood and adjust the valve as needed. This makes about a 20-degree difference in the temp of the air coming out of the vents, right way, not 15-30 mins later. Another hack for 5th Gen owners 2019-2020 is through that cheap cabin air filter, and go with a K&N lifetime filter that you can clean, dry out, and reinstall. It hugely increases the volume of air flow coming out of your vents. You're welcome!
