This is tiny
This was way smaller then I thought. Bought for silver but it seems 1oz silver might be tough to fit in there.

High quality crucible
This is a good product, and it's priced right. I use it for melting gold dust into gold nuggets. I don't ever have much gold so it's small 6 ounce size is perfect for my needs.

Perfect for small home melting
I don't know why people are saying these are smaller than advertised. When it says 200 grams that means, completely full, it'll hold 200 grams. If you need to melt 200 grams and want extra space in the crucible, order one that's over 200 grams instead of complaining because you don't know how to read. I ordered the 400 gram crucible and have had 0 issues or problems. Stop blaming the seller for your lack of comprehension.

Exactly what I needed
I needed several small size crucibles for a class on alloying gold. Was glad to see one on here in the right size and shape for my small Whip handle.

Product was not as it looked on Amazon
This product is small. I did not expect it to be miniature. However, I am starting to do ceramics so it will work for something

200 grams?
Buyer beware, these things are super tiny. In the listing it says 200g of silver/gold. Well you can see by my photos, there is no way your melting 200g of silver in this dish and if you dared to melt 200g of gold in the dish, youโd risk spilling it because it would be completely full. The only thing these small ones would be good for are melting down a ring or two. As for inquarting a batch of gold with silver, letโs just say, these miss the mark for that need. Without actually melting something in these dishes, I would say the safe max working capacity for silver would be around 80 grams and gold the max would be 125 grams.

Great for mixing flux and melting metals
I got my first bowl as a means to mix borax flux for soldering and it exceeded expectations. I have not used it for melting metals but I am excited to get another to do so. Don't let the delicate nature fool you, it is sturdy and a wonderful tool to have on my table.

LOOK AT THE MEASUREMENTS!! I BOUGHT A VERY SMALL ONE!
Title says it all. It's exactly what I needed, aside from the size. I'm using mine to make a borax water paste for soldering jewelery. Aaaand my borax cone is too big! Haha. I'll find a use for it anyway.
