Bunk Bed All-in-one How-to Book; Paper Pattern Plan to DIY and Easily Build Any Size with Loft, Trundle, Desk, Chest and Closet

I received the plans fairly quickly. I was really excited to start the project. The plans were detailed and clear. It does look like a person with basic wood working skills could pull this off. However, I didn't realize the cost of materials. I live in Hawaii and found a used bunk bed like this selling for $900. I though it would be cheaper to build it. After checking out the prices at my local hardware store, it looked like the cost of materials would easily go over $700. That's not including the cost of the mattresses. My wife and I decided to go with a cheaper alternative for now and save this project for another day. I'm still looking forward to building it in the future. It looks like a fun project.

If you're wondering why the price is so low, it's because you do not receive any materials to build the bed. You ONLY receive the instructions, the paperwork, which means the cost is actually WAAAAY overpriced since you're only buying paper! Also there is no info on where to even purchase the materials. So you are being mislead if you think you are buying a bed, because in actuality, you are buying ..... NOTHING!!!! I have sent a message to the seller about this and until I receive a response, I have to say that I do NOT recommend this purchase to anyone because it is very misleading and you are not buying, anything!

While the directions are relatively clear and designed for the beginner woodworker I do believe the picture is a bit misleading. The directions have you place the plywood directly on the back of the upright 2x4's and place another 2x4 above the plywood. After doing that I do not see how the finished product will look as nice as the one pictures. There is just no way the plywood panels will look like your cabinet doors at home or the pictures in the ad. Also, no matter how much I searched around, I could not find a picture that could be blown up so that I could actually see a better finished product. Even the pictures in the directions avoid showing how the panels should or will look, though they did show all the other construction steps in nice detail. So while I do believe the photo is a bit misleading, with a little bit of extra effort and additional knowledge I do believe you can adapt the plans to create a really quality piece of furniture. Measurements would have to be adjusted and you would may need a few more tools then suggested. So in the end purchasing this set of blueprints (mine had color), would save you some time and effort and gives you a good start on building a quality bunk bed.

We ordered this on the 14th of Jan., they shipped on the 17th and we received it on the 18th. Great communication from the buyer. When we opened the plans, they were very well laid and very descriptive. I can no wait to get started building this, as they also put in the exact number of materials for each size of bed and there is also color pictures and it shows exactly how it is to be done. We will definitely order from them again for any other woodworking projects. Thank you so much!!

Instructions and supply list are very clear and precise. Additionally, love the way it s pulled together to allow some flexibility.

The plans appear to be complete in every way. My husband says that they are very thorough with options for all mattress sizes. He can hardly wait to build it and our son is excited. We received the plans before another item we had ordered, I was surprised at how fast it came. The design seems well done!

What you read in the description when you go to buy sounds like you will get a book. Yet no you get something from the '90s homeowner done pamphlet (not even stapled) with ink streaks through every most pages and FEW pages with pages. Some pages not even readable at all. All color pictures are wrong color/barely readable due to printed on a printer/copier that was out of ink. I worked as a pressman apprentice and know that it would not have been allowed to go to customers even with 75% less ink smudges than what was given to me. Therefore conclusion when i bought a new book and paid for international shipping what i got was a knockoff, thus this is NOT a reputable seller and DOES NOT work for WoodPatternExpert for the product i got was less than helpful except for the inventory sheet.

As I said, I ordered the plans but I decided not to build it. I only spent an hour or so looking at the plans, and because of the materials used, I decided this wasn't the design for me, although don't let that sway your opinion, it's just my personal preferences. The plans cut lists from standard twin to a king size, so they are very versitile in that regard. The materials are mostly 2x4's with a number of other pieces of dimensional lumber. I did see at least one measurement error on the width of a dimensional piece as 1"x12"'s are 11-1/4" wide not 11-1/2". It would also be nice if they included a cut guide for cutting the plywood and mdf in the most efficient manner, but that's a minor criticism. Some of the drawings are crude and the font used in the plans make them difficult to read. As another reviewer mentioned, the photos on the sites and even in the plans are so low resolution that you can't get a good idea of what the finished product would look like. And unlike some other reviewers, I didn't receive my plans in a few days, it took 1.5 weeks after I received a notice that they were being shipped before I received my plans. In summation, I think the build would be a rustic looking build, and if that's what you like, that's cool, but it's just not me.
