Please save your money, and Alexa! *by J***C on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on August 25, 2016* I must say, it is rare that I buy an item on Amazon that I am truly disappointed with but this stand for my wonderful Amazon Echo device was a total waste of money. It's not a bad looking device, the natural wood goes great in my house and the vertical rods almost look like stainless so even though they do not match my rustic decor they are still clean looking. The problem is that after assembly, there are three bumper like projections on the bottom which makes for a tripod effect. This wouldn't be bad if they were placed equidistant but they are not. The design, leaving the back acrylic rings open for Echo removal without unplugging the cord, means the three bumpers are actually placed like 3 corners of a square. This makes the whole stand extremely unstable. If it is slightly bumped toward the non-bumpered side the stand tips. It doesn't fall over unless bumped hard but even tipping makes it look ridiculous. If you set the Echo right in the concise center of the stand the mere weight of the Echo tips the stand back toward the non-bumpered area. See photos! The Echo must be placed forward in the stand toward the middle vertical brace in order for the stand to work and sit flat. Ridiculous design flaw. Ever a self critic, I thought perhaps I put it together wrong, as the directions show only pictures with no real written directions and the pictures don't resemble the parts well at all. So, of course I thought maybe I was the problem. However, there is no other way to put this thing together. It's not a Rubik's Cube after all, and I do have a college degree and I also built my own house!I'd definitely not recommend this stand/guard for your Echo, especially if you've fallen in love with Alexa as I have. Now I have to buy a different stand which means I will spend at least twice as much as necessary for a reasonable stand/guard. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy Construction *by M***T on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on December 21, 2016* It works well, it is sturdy and well made. I thought the wood base would be finished. It doesn't look like it has any varnish on it. But it's not going to get wet, so it probably doesn't matter. It was surprised when it needed assembly, but it was super easy to put together. Didn't need instructions. The metal rods are heavy and make it a very sturdy stand.
