I ran across the concept of the magnet-type key holder that can be installed by simply replacing one of the light switch screws at random. Since my move, I wanted to have a regular place to set my keys to avoid misplacing them. What better spot than right by the door light switch on the way out... though usually, the idea of setting up something like this might lead one to think of putting up a small key hook holder on the wall or even setting up a small table and key dish as a solution. I wouldn't have thought to try a magnet and seeing that these little units would hold up to 3 pounds, I figured it was worth a try. I haven't tried to push the weight limit, but it does hold my keys firmly enough but easy to grab on the way out the door for work. The 6-pack that I purchased gives me more than enough to set up a couple of key points in the house to place my keys if I wanted. So far I've only really used 2 from the pack. I have one by my front door at home and then I found out my work cubical sidewall has a space that could accommodate a normal size screw used in common light switch plates that I was able to put one in place there. So it gives me a place to keep my keys close to my coat at the office. It's easy to install, just replace the screw already in the light switch plate and your good to go-- I was worried I might not be able to unscrew it later, but it is easy to remove as well if needed. Considering I've seen other similar units that either uses a removable adhesive or only hold up to 2 pounds (which isn't quite a deal breaker so long as it holds keys properly) I do find this 6-pack works just as well and is more cost-effective for one on a budget. Perhaps the only thing that might not work for everyone is if you have multiple people in the household and a smaller light switch plate to replace the screws on with the magnetic holders to accommodate each individual in the house by the front door. Though in that case, this 6-pack would still provide enough to allow for individuals to make the door to their room be the best place to store their keys before leaving the house. For the price of this 6-pack, it's an inexpensive way to see if this method helps keep you organized and from misplacing your keys around the house.

We only have one key and didn't want something bulky or extravagant for a car key. This is a simple yet effective product. Holds up one car key and I am positive the magnet is strong enough to securely hold a second. The magnet is also an actual screw that replaces the previous plate screw.

I was super surprised that one tiny magnet could hold all my husbands keys, but it does! They blend in well with this 70’s light switch cover, and are of course more noticeable on the regular white switches. A nice, easy alternative to command hooks (which my husband just can’t use for some reason haha). Definitely worth the cost.

This product is amazing! I was always hunting for my keys. Now they by the door and not hidden under papers on the counter. Hanging by the door and easy to grab as I go out. And a convenient place to return the keys as I come in. Installation is a breeze, only needed a screwdriver to remove the previous original light plate screws and these easily fit in the original screw holes just twist them in. Hard to believe these tiny magnets could be so strong

This is so simple and cleaver!! One of those "now why didn't I think of that" ideas. When I ordered it, I was concerned that the magnet might not be strong enough to hold my car fob, key ring and several keys. The service area of the magnet is quite small. However, it works perfectly. My keys have never fallen off. It is so convenient to have them by the garage door or wherever else works best for you. I could not be more pleased with this product.

Overall, it sorta works, but the problem I have is, that I need to carefully set it in place in order for it not to fall off. Maybe the magnet is not strong enough or what, but if I don't carefully place it in a certain position, my keys fall right off. I have 2 car FOBS and 3 house keys so I'm not sure if that is more than max capacity. Either way I wished it worked better.

I love these little magnets! Scissors- stick to the wall! Tape in reusable metal holder- stick to the wall! Keys- stick to the wall! Helps with organizing without putting holes in the wall.

GREAT idea, and non-permanent! Installs in 45 seconds. We have these in a few places, including at the doorway of our RV. I would say though that it does not hold the weight the pictures suggest. Our full keyring falls off because it is too heavy, but small rings of 3 keys have stayed on. We mostly use for bulldog clips with reminder notes on ours (like, dog is fed, or oven is on). Perfect little add-on gift for the person who has everything or is living tiny.
