I bought this to help me as a homeowner understand the accepted practices and code requirements for electrical renovations in my home. This is a clear guide with excellent diagrams and illustrations, easily an essential foundational resource that covers many of the projects that a diy homeowner might take on. That said, electricians take years to learn the trade, no one should expect to just jump to the middle of the book to start their project. The basics of wiring are there, but have to be understood first.
