Quantum Max Powerball, Dishwasher Detergent Tablets, 25 Tabs

A friend of mine heard me griping about my worn out dishwasher (15 years old) and how I have to completely wash my dishes by hand before I load them into the dishwasher and even then, the dishes barely come out clean. Yeah, pretty boring. That's what two guys were talking about. Anyway, he told me to check out these Finish cubes. I had seen them in the store before, but they looked kind of expensive and I'm sure my wife would have yelled at me for buying something so gimmicky. But since Dan recommended it, I'll blame it on him. THESE THINGS ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I live in southern California just north of L.A. Our municipal water tastes pretty good, but it's really hard water. I think I'm the only guy on my street who's too stubborn to pay for a water softener service (that's a different story though). So I gave these things a try. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. I know we're all busy, but take a minute to read the instructions. The most important tidbit that's easy to overlook is that you shouldn't store these under your sink where it's damp. Store them someplace else where it's dry (and out of reach of small kids). RESULTS: From the first wash my dishes came out so doggone clean I couldn't believe it. I'm in charge of doing the dishes in my family and these clean dishes made my eyes start to water up (kidding). They're really beautiful though. Our plates feel like someone waxed and polished them. Our cups and glasses are all spotless. At every meal I see my family reach down and touch their plates just to feel the new smooth finish. The real benefit comes after a few loads. Once your dishes have been through a few loads with Finish, the dishes develop a smooth enough finish that they're even easier to clean. Just a quick rinse in the sink takes all the food residue off. Then you can toss them into the dishwasher for another treatment. Keep an eye out for bargains. The price here at Amazon is pretty good. The larger the quantity, the better the price. I paid about $9 for the 25-count. Last week I saw the 45-count at the store for $11 and it was buy-one-get-one. Amazing. Since I started using these, my mom bought them too. She really loves them. I had to tell her though that you don't put them in the locking soap cup. Put the cube in the open cup or even just toss it into the dishwasher. If you put it in the locking cup, it only has half the time to activate and that's not enough. UPDATE: Over a year since I first started using this product, our 16 year old dishwasher finally gave up the fight and pooped out on us. We replaced it with a nice new unit. With this newer dishwasher, there's no need to leave the detergent cup open. I put the Finish cube into the detergent cup and close the cup. It works perfectly, as expected. So experiment for yourself and see which method works best for you. UPDATE II (Nov. 2014): We've been using these for over three years and still swear by them. I've seen quite a few news reports in the past week or so warning of child poisoning with gel type detergents. Please please please keep these in a safe place where young children can't get to them. I hate to see kids get injured and I'd also hate to have this awesome product removed from the market. UPDATE III (Feb. 2015): I just bought a pack of the 45 count, which seems to be the best price per cube these days. I was surprised to see that the 45 pack comes in a zip seal bag instead of a box. This makes a lot more sense. I had actually been throwing away the boxes and putting them in my own zip seal bag, so this makes more sense.

We bought a new dishwasher probably 6 years ago now. They suggested that we use another brand and told us that the brand works best with our dishwasher. It's even in the documentation, so we didn't question it. The entire time though, we've been getting a white residue on the dishes. We have tried other brands, usually liquid because I thought maybe that wouldn't leave the film. Nothing worked so we went back to the recommended and just assumed we got a crappy dishwasher. On impulse, I bought this product. Why not, what did I have to lose? Now we feel like total idiots because we now KNOW that it was the dishwashing agent that was causing the film. Once we used Finish, the film was gone. The dishes are squeaky clean and shine. I can't believe I waited this long to try this product. Very happy with it!!!!

Get yourself a bunch of TANG! YES the orangey drink made for astronauts. 3. Put the Finish Quantum in the dishwasher pot that is open already. 4. Put the tang int he closed to be released later spor in your washer. 5. Runt he washer and enjoy the results. Why does this work? Tang has citric acid, and the powerball has the cleaning detergent, so whatever kind of water you have, even hard water you dishes will come out crystal clear! Also, I have tried a bunch of other brands, these are cheaper, but they are better and I like how they are packed, really no fuss at all.

These tabs are the first dishwasher tabs I have ever used that actually do the job and leave sparkly dishes like the commercial! I don't have to practically wash the dishes beforehand like before nor do I have white scum all over the glassware. I will never switch from these unless they change them to be crappy like the others!

This product is fantastic but you must make certain that your washer is working properly. My dish washer is about 8 years old and it stopped cleaning properly. I thought it was the change is detergents (they took out phosphates) and I tried Finish and there was no improvement. Then I took apart my dishwasher. You can go on youtube to see how to take your dishwasher apart and clean it. Not hard to do at all. My washer was disgusting and probably a heath hazard. I took it apart, changed the chopper blade assembly, let it run about 5 times with just a little vinegar in the bottom, and finally got it cleaned. Then I started using Finish. Whoohooooo! Our dishes were never cleaner. I ran the next few loads on anti-bacterial setting to really get everything cleaned. I do rinse them really well before cleaning in hot water. Remember, its a dishwasher, not a garbage disposal. If your washer is not working 100 percent then nothing will help you. But if you clean it top to bottom, inside out, the Finish is great. You still might need the rinse agent also, but this is much better than C a s c a d e. Good luck and happy dish cleaning.

I have tried many detergents for my dishwasher, and this is the only one that works (almost) every time. At some point they stopped popping out of the dishwasher door in a timely fashion (don't know if this was an issue with my dishwasher or the detergent squares), and instead they were slightly used and otherwise still stuck to door with my dishes not done well at all. However, I could not even consider switching detergents again (in case it was them and not my dishwasher) because I had finally found one that worked so well! So instead I have been tossing them onto the bottom of the dishwasher instead of putting them in the door before starting the dishwasher, and I have not had an issue since. I can't imagine going back to any other detergent; I've finally found one that really works!
