Review: Great Knife, Great Value, only took me 3 years to write a review... - THIS IS A GREAT KNIFE!!! (I have had this knife for 3 years and don't know why I waited so long to write a review). I am a female who wanted a knife I could carry with me and feel I'd be able to access quickly if need be. I wanted something sturdy (and sharp) that I feel I could count on just in case. I also didn't want to spend a ton of money if I didn't need to in order to get a decent quality knife. So I read ALL the reviews (well probably not all, but enough from knife aficionados who insisted this was a high quality knife, especially for the price). Since I wanted to be sure I could use it safely being the knife-novice that I am, I wanted a knife that was designed with a locking mechanism so it won't spring open in my pocket or purse and a locking blade so God Forbid if I need to use it for something I really need to depend on it for, the blade will stay locked open. This particular knife in the video is 3 years old, it goes wherever I go, and it has held up EXTREMELY well. When I first got it, I had to practice opening and closing it quite a bit to get comfortable handling it (like I said, I'm a knife-novice). It springs open VERY quickly and is also VERY sharp (especially the tip so be careful if you are new to handling knives). I love that I can open it with one hand and quickly if need be. I mess with it all the time (and I mean that in the safest way possible) and the locking mechanism that you need to push down prior to opening the knife has not loosened or become less secure at all. Nor has the opening mechanism, and the knife still springs open just as fast as it did when I got it. It's also very sturdy, and has a bit of weight to it which makes it feel very solid. So long story short: pretty solid knife at a very good price that you can open with one hand very quickly and easily, makes me feel safe having it with me, and I will definitely buy another when I eventually wear mine out. I highly recommend it!

**Q: How long is the blade itself?**
A: If you would read the published specs., you'd see that the blade length is 3 3/8", total open length is 7 3/4", folded length 4 3/8".
The finish on the knife is slippery so I applied several pieces of gun tape to it. I'm very happy with the knife.!

**Q: I got the knife and it won't close. I watched the video but it didn't help. Any ideas?**
A: All of these knives seem to come from the factory overly tightened. I've got 14 knives in my collection and on all of them I've had to back out the pivot screw, put a few drops of Tetra gun oil or EWL 2000 on the pivot post and then tighten the pivot screw back in a little at a time. While doing this, I'd check the operation of the blade to make sure it's easy to open and close, but doesn't wobble from side to side. The more I opened and closed it, the easier it got.

A: You are not allowed to own any gravity or spring assisted knife in New York and the overall blade length can’t exceede three inches

Solid knife with quality tooling and finish. Sharp blade. Smooth Action. Just wtf I was looking for and at a exceptional price. Excellent blade lock (which most cheap knives lack). I bought 2nd one and plan to get a few more if these continue to perform well. Not as light-weight as my favorite water-friendly blade - Gerber, but they refuse to make a "Quick Deploy" blade so... other options. :)
