Being unfamiliar with the distinction between Thunderbolt and USB-C, I had a frustrating 18 months with my second monitor not cooperating when connected to my laptop hub. My attempts with HDMI switches and multiple wires only led to a mess of cables. I had not realised that USBC (Gen 3.1 and mega fast) was not a Thunderbolt cable! However, upon realizing my misunderstanding, I decided to give this Thunderbolt 4 Cable a shot. The results were immediate and gratifying – both HDMI ports on the dock began working seamlessly. Finally, I achieved the dual monitor setup I had been aiming for. As for the cable itself, I'm cautiously optimistic. The immediate functionality improvement makes me hopeful, but I can't yet vouch for its long-term quality and durability. Given my prior misstep, I'm hoping this cable will hold up over time without any hitches. I am happy as this cable has resolved my connectivity issues and untangled my web of wires.
