UPDATE FOR JULY 14,2023: THIS TOY OF SPRINGING RINGS GREAT DISTANCES is still the best toy our dog son has ever had after over 4 years and 3 months! We have hardly had to buy more of the parts. The rings are now discolored, but he still loves this the most of all his toys and we have purchased at least 150 more toys since I said we had given him 1200, so this one is still BY FAR, THE BEST! You know how your dog will be so itching to play with a new toy or to go out that he can't contain his excitement and he is moving in place just dying to take off running to catch the ball? This is THAT GREAT TOY, even after over 4 years!! He is stronger and you can see all his muscles moving as he anticipated running to catch a ring! He can play about 10 or so times of a ring being launched. Each time he brings the ring back, after a Victorious like run in a huge circle in the backyard, he drops it and we immediately kick it out of the way as we hold the launcher high up and prepare to launch the next ring. When he has reached his limit as soon as you send the next ring off, he comes after the one he brought back already and ignores the ring just launched, so we know he is too tired, so we grab the ring on the ground and he goes and gets the last one and brings it back or we go get it and we put the game away in our garage. HE STILL, after 4+ YEARS, every time he comes out of the house glances over to where this game is kept and signals that he wants to play it! This amazing launching game/toy is the best toy we have ever given him! He LOVES this toy! You do not want to associate the game with something too hard to play because it is too tiring, too exhausting.Just like human children, when things are too hard, they lose interest, so Play for a short time so it's all fun and excitement, maybe 10 minutes and if it is hot and humid, maybe only 5 minutes so he looks forward to it very much the next time! Wait a few days or until the next day before you bring it out again, and it can be every other day, too. You can tell it is time to stop playing when he won't bring it back, when he sits down with it, when he keeps the rings, or picks up 2 rings, if he is a big dog, or if he starts to chew it, do Not allow any time to chew the rings. That may be why people say it is cheap. It is NOT a cheap dog toy, it is made to be light and easy to use and NOT BE CHEWED. To get it to fly it needs LIGHT and to use it well, the people need something light, that is NOT too Heavy, too.A HUGE success for his birthday present!! I needed to babysit them for two weeks at Easter so I was looking for a present on line when I found the Hurrik9. Well for the first time Brody was taking breaks laying in the grass long before I was ready to stop. It’s a fun, easy to use dog toy but it’s pricy and the rings are easily destroyed. The company does offer a tougher ring set of 3 for around $35.00.
