Our spa water kept getting cloudy despite regular chlorine dosing, so I added this shock in after a soak one night following the dosing chart based on our spa's gallon size. Wanted something that would actually oxidize whatever was building up rather then just masking the problem with more regular sanitizer. Water cleared up within a few hours, went from slightly hazy to fully clear by morning, and it stayed that way through the following days of normal use rather then clouding right back up like a cheaper shock we tried once. No overwhelming chemical smell lingering around the spa area either after it had time to work through, which matters since ours is right off the back porch. Dosing has been consistent bag to bag, no clumping in the container that would throw off measurements like I've had with shock that's absorbed some humidity sitting in a shed. Been using it weekly plus after heavier use like having guests over, and the 6lb size has genuinely lasted us most of a season doing that. For the price per treatment, this works out cheaper per use then the smaller bags we used to buy more frequently, and not having to reorder constantly is worth something on its own. Only complaint is the scoop that comes with it is on the small side, takes a few scoops to hit a full dose which feels like it could be simplified. Solid shock overall, would restock the same size again next season.

Love the size, great product for hot tub

Such a great product. I only gave 4 stars because it leaves this crusty residue that takes some scrubbing to remove but this stuff cleared up my spa very nicely. We had to do 2 shocks over 2 days but worked great.
