Chrysalis Tarot Deck & Book Set

I really wanted a tarot deck that was different from the rest and that I could use more of my intuition instead of following a traditional Rider-Waite system. With that said I really resonated with this deck as well as the beautiful artwork and well written book. The book itself is absolutely fascinating and worth the read. I also knew that whichever deck I would get the author had to be a genuine person who set a good intention or received a download while creating the deck. After reading Toney Brooks’s blog and connecting with him on Facebook I knew right away that this deck was “the one” and that the author and I were pretty much on the same wavelength. I’m leaving a review now but I actually purchased this deck earlier this year. I highly recommend this deck for someone who’s looking for one that is truly unique, special and actually made with love.

I bought these for my daughter as a Christmas gift. She hasn’t put them down since. They’re are beautiful done and the story they present are spot on.

Beautiful! This is a really nice deck. Has great description of the cards and beautiful art. I like the book that came with it also. I would purchase this again. No regrets.

I haven't had this deck for very long, and I'm still reading the larger book that it came with. I really love Holly Sierra's artwork, it's beautiful & whimsical. Since I am fairly new to tarot it is an adjustment for me to get used the different "suits" that Toney uses in this deck which is not traditional Rider Wait style, although it is similar. I love the uniqueness of it and that is why I was drawn to this deck, also because I am very visual & connect with the artwork so this really jumped out at me. I recommend this deck to anyone who wants something other than the traditional RW style to use.

I absolutely LOVE this deck! I am somewhat of a Tarot Card and Oracle Card collector. I have just about all of them..... but this deck....... these cards are literally magickal! I am speechless and in awe of the pure positive, healing energy and vibrational alignment that I feel with these cards. They are a bit on the fragile side though, so shuffle gently and with love, light, and care.... and these cards will bless you in ways you cannot even begin to imagine... I kid you not!

Out of the obnoxious number of decks I own this is by far my favorite and I've been using it since they came out. The artwork and vibe to them are just perfect.

I am learning tarot. I have purchased several decks to see which ones I like the best. These are so lovely. The illustrations are awesome! The book is also a very handy tool too!! The cards are good quality and I can see them lasting a while. I also enjoyed the fold out included with this!!!

This deck is stunning, the colours are vibrant and the images are beautifully illustrated. This deck is not your typical RWS most of the majors have renamed and so have all the court cards ( the troop) and for that reason I do recommend also getting the full set the one that has the large quids book, it's deffenately worth it. A magical deck you'll be pleased to have.

The Chrysalis Tarot is a far cry from Rider Waite. The art work is beautiful and speaks to the reader. The colour palette is mild and appealing and caters to the psychic faculties. The Cups are mirrors, Swords are scrolls, Wands are spirals and Pentacles are stones in this deck. I have however trimmed off the borders to make the artwork pop and edged the cards golden.

Les cartes sont de bonnes qualités ainsi que l'ouvrage. Petit bémol sur le coffret en carton souple pas du tout pratique pour ranger le jeu. Le gros guidebook est vraiment bien fait et j'ai été très agréablement surprise d'avoir le petit guidebook en plus. Cela fait un mois que je travaille personnellement avec et il est très juste !

El mazo viene contenido en una caja de 18cm x 12.7cm x 5.4cm aprox., que contiene el mazo con su respectiva caja, ambas cajas están bellamente decoradas, incluye un libro instructivo muy completo y una hoja de trabajo con la tirada del Chrysalis Fairy Ring Spread, el concepto de los elementos es diferente, las espadas son representadas por pergaminos (scrolls), lo cual también significa avanzar, desplazarse, moverse, los bastos están representados por los espirales (spirals) que también significa avanzar hacia un bien mayor, los oros están representados por las piedras (stones) que también significa semilla, cosecha, y las copas están representadas por los espejos (mirrors) que también significa reflejar el interior, las imágenes en mi opinión tienen un colorido y diseño extraordinariamente hermoso y sumamente descriptivo, y la contraportada de las cartas es hermosísima, las cartas son plásticas y muy fáciles de manejar, ligeramente más gruesas de lo normal, cada arcano tiene un toque sumamente personalizado del autor, pero son sumamente descriptivas y permiten lecturas muy completas y nutridas con mucha información. Me parece que la energía que refleja este mazo es simplemente hermosa e iluminada, sin dejar de representar la intensidad energética correspondiente de cada arcano. En un principio puede parecer difícil la interpretación de los arcanos menores sobre todo por la diferencia entre los elementos tradicionales y los que maneja este concepto, y también hay diferencia entre los arquetipos tradicionales de los arcanos mayores y los de este mazo, las imágenes de los arcanos vienen contenidas por un marco con un diseño muy elegante simulando hoja de oro y en su base inferior viene la descripción de los arcanos que en el caso de los arcanos mayores adiciona la información con el concepto personalizado del autor, pero definitivamente debido a toda esta novedosa y hermosa estructura a la vez, es un mazo para usuarios de nivel intermedio alto y avanzado, considero que solamente personas con una buena experiencia y/o percepción interpretativa lo puede manejar de forma fluida, pero todo es cuestión de costumbre, pero estoy segura que con el uso continuo de este mazo con el tiempo se podrá obtener la fluidez requerida para una buena lectura en caso que el usuario esté muy acostumbrado a las imágenes tradicionales o para los principiantes. Es de los mazos más hermosos que tengo.

I have had 3 tarot decks so far but this one is a very refreshing take on tarot decks! With the beautiful combination of shamanism, paganism, goddesses, spirit animals, and much more rich symbolism - I immediately resonated to this deck. I love that it has a new take on the major arcana archetypes, as well as the trump cards. It all makes SO MUCH SENSE to me. After researching for countless hours on which deck to purchase, I could not be happier with this deck! In fact, I feel it has really helped me with moving forward with my life. Using the cards to intuitively read can be a little difficult at first though (because its not a traditional deck) so I highly recommend getting the deck and book set. Plus you get to read on the artist' vision too!
