Perfect pill organizer for peace of mind!
I’ve been looking for a pill organizer for my aging mother who has gotten forgetful with her meds. We had a scare late last year with double dosing and I am SO relieved to have found Med Center. It’s easy to use and keeps everything very organized. Very sturdy, size is actually perfect for the kitchen, and the time reminder is really cool! Very grateful for the peace of mind this product has given me!

Best pain in the butt ever
Bought for my elderly mother who could not remember to take medications. We used to use the organizers that stated days of the week, but she would not know what day of the week it was. In short it was a big mess just barely better than nothing. This thing is spot on , however. The red/green color labels, date vs day, and the wonderful talking timer... It just works so well. Actually the talking timer is hard to understand, but Imade her live thru it for 2 weeks just to get used to the process. The beep alarm is sufficient. Now that she is used to the red "done", green "next" labels , we don't have to really know what day it is, but the LED gives her a visual cue in case of confusion. My mother curses the alarm on a daily basis, but we have not missed a single dose since we started using this system. WORTH EVERY PENNY AND MORE FOR THAT. The timer is fairly easy to set, I bought an ac adapter, but it is still running on the original batteries we started with, the alarm is set 4 x per day and frequently goes off for an hour or so before she wakes to hear it. I will probably never use the adapter unless I run out of batteries. BUT there is a huge downside for the one filling this organizer- all those little boxes have 4 separate, hard to open lids -I fill a month at a time; this takes an hour or so and a whole tabletop to do . Then if a script is changed, added or removed another hour for maintenance. We have had script changes 7 times in the past month This IS A PAIN , but it is worth it to me. But I've had lots experience with caregivers-friends & family, home health workers,etc.. and I have not encountered very many that would reliably provide the due dilligence to properly maintain this system. This is something you don't want somebody filling during commercials, or while in a hurry to get on to the next patient down the road. Just sayin'

In use for a year with a stubborn relative, works well
In April 2018, I purchased the MedCenter System with Reminder Alarm for use by my 89 year old Mother-In-law. After a year of use, I am very pleased with this investment, and highly recommend. Initial set-up of the Reminder Alarm is a little tricky, not something that my MIL could fathom. Contrary to some reviews, I found that it is possible to customize the number of alarms during the set-up phase. Example: we only need reminders for "Morning" and "Evening" pill boxes, so I have selected "alarm Off" for the "Noon" and "Night" sections. The Reminder Alarm has sound options : beep , voice-loud , voice-extra loud, or off. The batteries last for many months, although I recommend changing the batteries every six months, to avoid problems. During battery change, it helps to plug in an ac adapter (not included with this particular set, but you may have one in your home already). Without the ac adapter, a battery change may require re-programming of some features, so be sure to check the settings after the battery change. Initially, some of the pill-box lids were a very tight fit, a challenge to my MIL. I recommend storing a small bottle opener in the empty slot of the MedCenter, to help pry open a stubborn pill-box. Now that the system has been in use for a year, the pillboxes open and close easily. The MedCenter with reminder system helps my MIL stay on schedule with her meds and vitamins, too. I visit at least once a month, and load up the pillboxes for MIL. In fact, I bought an extra set of Pill-boxes, so that I can load up to two months in advance, which gives me more options on the timing of my visits. In summary, the MedCenter has been a great solution for helping a very stubborn woman, who hates to be told what to do, manage her daily medications. Funny story, MIL loves to complain and can be very dramatic - she complained for months about the MedCenter badgering her to take the pills , until - one day, she accidentally (on purpose?) switched off the sound - then, MIL realized that she "missed hearing the MedCenter", and needed me to get it working again immediately. Haha.

Dad wanted to hate it but LOVES IT!
Lots of pills, every day? This tower made it foolproof. Bad eyesight, doesn't matter-dates are large, colors are easy! It's big, but it's EFFECTIVE and EASY. Sometimes snaps are tough but still worth it for the peace of mind and independence this provides. And ONCE A MONTH filling. No more weekly headache. Returned and purchased a second one so I can go on a vacation and not worry about Dad's pills!!!! Dad can travel and take the days containers he needs.

Almost a 5 Star but I had to make modify something (also purchased ALARM)
OK, so my father is up there in age. This has caused some problems with his medications over the years. For at least 20 years I would pack his pills in those weekly pill boxes that said AM and PM and Sunday - Saturday. These were great when my dad was able to easily understand what day of the week it is. Now that he is not as mobile and spends a lot of time in bed, sometimes he forgets the day of the week and was taking pills from different days and sometimes forgetting to take pills at night or at different times all together. This was becoming a big Challenge and causing the wrong results for the purpose of taking the pills. So I ordered him this nifty pill reminder box set with Alarm. The first one arrived without the ALARM but that got worked out (Thanks to Amazon, not the seller) and I got the ALARM a week later. In the mean time I set up his pills and set up the Alarms. Even though it can do I think 4 ALARMS a day I chose to skip the mid day pill ALARM. I still had to set it but I could choose to not have the alarm go off. This was a concern when buying it because someone said they couldn't skip an alarm but in reality you can, you just have to set it still. So the first week my dad was taking them, he was a mess. I mean he did not get it at all. He would take the boxes out and not look at the numbers and just still take whichever he wanted. Sometimes I found the boxes on the other side of the room. Finally I explained again and again that there are numbers to match the date, the date on his watch or the clock or his phone. Something clicked. OK, now the other problem was from the laying in bed, he could not see the numbers on top. (Yes I know, this should not be a problem but he has decided lazy is his way and he doesn't want to put that much effort into taking pill). So I took my crafty labeler and not only made new numbers but had green and red tape so I could make it match as they do on the top. This could be done with red and green pen with any paper stuck or glued on but it made a world of difference. Now he takes them in a new routine, on time. If he forgets and the alarm goes off, he now takes them. Hardly any more missed pills still in the boxes when I go to re fill them. The nurses are amazed at the boxes to, nice and tidy set up and makes it easier to keep track of what he has taken or missed. The only reason I did not put 5 stars for easy to read is I wish they did make it so you can see it from the side. It is a large item full of pills. Most adult who are taking pills will put them up higher to keep away from kids or grandkids. So in not just for my dad but others I can see having to pull the entire item down to see the top of the boxes to make sure they are on schedule. I love the red and green though for when they are needed to be taken or have already been taken. Just couldn't see that before I marked them myself on the sides.

Good Product With Well Designed Features - Some Hard to Get To Pill Difficulties
I just received this product today and promptly stocked it. I use this myself and I have some cognitive problems due to a brain trauma. Everything is very clear given the color coding, having a place for the current days medications and the colors indicating whether all the medications for each day have been taken. The features are well thought out and every bit of confusion seems to have been addressed. I would have given this product 5 stars if the following problems were not encountered. First, the dispenser lids were hard to open, some more than others. I opened all of them to stock up for a month and a couple of the lids seemed like they were not going to open at all. I then learned a trick: place the fingernails of the first and second fingers under the flared out corners of the lid. The lid opens quite easily this way. If this product has to be stocked for someone with dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's or advanced arthritis they may not be able to open these. Second, and more importantly, it is difficult to remove the daily dispensers from the middle two rows. The manufacturer should consider spacing the daily slots out some, so that fingers can grasp the tops of the dispensers better. I saw a comment where someone resorted to using tongs to remove the dispensers from the slots. I have large bones and I can't get my fingers far enough down on the daily dispensers to pull them up and out of the slots. I fumbled about a few times and found a solution. I place my thumb on one corner of the front of the dispenser and my little finger on the opposite (diagonal) corner and am able to lift them out. If you leave the current days dispenser empty, pull out the next day's dispenser, this leaves enough space to make this easier, thus always leaving an adjacent day's slot open. With that slot open I can grasp the box with the thumb on one corner and the first (index) finger on the opposite (diagonal) corner. This might not be a problem for people with average sized bones, but my wrist measurements are 8 7/8" and my fingers are large in diameter. My wife had no problem withdrawing any of the daily dispensers as the slots are oversized just enough so that adjacent dispensers move out of the way enough for her to get that index finger low enough on the dispensers to pull them right out. I have somewhat significant arthritis in my hands so I hope the lids will get easier to open as time advances. Given that I take Gabapentin for my hand and knee arthritis is is important for me to get to those pills first thing in the morning without the aid of my wonderful wife, who might be sleeping in or already out of the house when I need to get to my morning medication.

Very helpful...
I got this for my parents. They take a lot of pills, and it's hard to keep track of everything. This makes it much easier. The voice giving directions is a nice feature, and it's clear and loud, and the compartments are easy to use. It was also less expensive than some of the alternatives that had lower ratings.

Works Great!
I bought this for myself as I keep forgetting to take my medication. I am 41. Even though you can use it four times a day I use it three times a day. It has an option to where you can skip a time that you’re not using your medication. I love how it talks to you to notify you about taking your medication, if it wouldn’t notify me, then I wouldn’t be able to take my medicine because again I would forget. The only downfall is, it’s very hard to open the containers. Other than that, I give it five stars.
