It fit my 814CE bridge perfectly with no fitting required. Good color match to the factory micarta saddle, must be bleached bone. It sounds like a bone saddle should - more volume, overtones, sustain, and a slight mid-push. The sound has more girth. I am also using bone bridge pins, which accentuates these qualities. My Taylor's tone has moved towards the Martin sound with these drop-in mods. I like this bone saddle for gentle finger picking. Overtones are richer now, but still not overpowering. Bone definitely improved strumming tone - the guitar really roars now. I have left the factory TUSQ nut unchanged, since it works great, and the tone is pretty much where I want it to be. The next thing to do is to try it on an amplifier, to see if the pickups are still balanced across all 6 strings, but there's an adjustment for that if necessary. Currently using D'Addario EJ19 Phosphor Bronze light top / medium bottom strings. I will try some Elixir HD Lights at next string change, but they should be very similar to the EJ19.
