Great Addition to My Guitar Game Collection, Perfect for Family Play
I bought Band Hero for Xbox 360 to add to my collection of rhythm games, alongside my other Guitar Hero titles. What sets Band Hero apart is its more kid-friendly, family-oriented setlist that focuses on pop hits rather than the usual rock-heavy tracks you find in other games like Guitar Hero. If you’re looking for a game with songs everyone can enjoy, from younger kids to adults, this is a great option. The game works seamlessly with my old guitar controllers that I still use on my Xbox 360. It’s a solid choice if you’re like me and still hanging on to your old consoles and peripherals. Band Hero feels like a must-have if you want a more diverse song selection, especially for casual or family-friendly gaming sessions. It’s also fun for parties, with a nice variety of pop hits from artists like Taylor Swift and No Doubt. Even though it's a bit dated now, it’s still a lot of fun to dust off the guitar controllers and play through these tracks. If you’re a fan of the Guitar Hero franchise or just want something to play with family, Band Hero is a great addition to your collection. Pros: Kid-friendly, pop-focused song list that’s great for family play Works perfectly with older Xbox 360 guitar controllers Fun for parties and casual play Cons: Limited to older consoles, so only useful if you still have an Xbox 360 setup Overall, Band Hero is a great addition if you still enjoy playing these rhythm games on the older consoles. Definitely worth picking up if you want more variety in your music library.

Long live Band Hero
I never understood the hate for Band hero. It was a great and experimental way to branch out and reach a wider audience but I distinctly remember the hate it got for having too much pop.... despite this being the point for this particular game. It features a ton of great songs and I feel like they all would still fit Rock Band/Guitar Hero in some way. It's just an overall fun party game that I remember playing with my friends when it first came out. I really wish Band Hero got a chance to go on. It could've gotten a sequel the following year before or after Guitar Hero 6. Of course 6 would be the last GH game.. for now.. but Band Hero 2 would've been epic. So now let's talk about the game. Structurally, it plays the same as Guitar Hero 5. The graphics are also the same as Guitar hero 5 which makes sense as this game came out 2 months after it. However, the overall look and graphics of the game seem slightly better, more polished. Same with the audio, it features the same surround sound option that was introduced in Guitar Hero 4 I believe, but it sounds better than 5 and a whole lot better than earlier games like 3 (sorry 3). Story wise... there's not much to say. It just seemed too hard to top the story of GH 3 that less focus was put on story mode to the point where it's nonexistent in games past 3. I missed the simple but effective cutscenes in GH3 for all the future games.. but that was okay. Band Hero still had a great amount of music, replayability, characters, and customization. The customization is ridiculous for how great it is, I easily could've been there for hours.

cool music game
Fun game for the whole family, you can play as a band or you can just have one mic or one guitar and still have a blast, lots of fun songs to choose from. You can pay and download for more new songs if you would like to as well. This works on xbox 360 but will not work for the new xbox one yet. you can sing, play guitar, play drums, or bass.

Guitar hero pop version.
I purchased band hero for Amazon for $7.99 how can you beat that price for a guitar hero/band hero game. My wife likes the pop songs that we play on guitar hero and rock band so i picked this game up so that we could play together and she would not have to worry about trying to play "through the fire and flames" or something really difficult. This is a game of mostly pop songs but there are some classic rock songs on here as well to help even the game out. Same guitar hero graphics and play that you expect and are used to is featured in the game. Bottom line is if you need some more/new songs to play how can you pass up this game for 8 bucks? Thanks.

Great For Non-Rock Songs
This game was a nice alternative to Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band. It offers a wider variety than just rock, metal, and emo songs. I'm still waiting for more DLC pop songs that are more popular or recent than the included setlist, as some of the songs are outdated. The pros to this game are the multiple mics capability. Some times people feel more comfortable singing with others which makes for a better party than, forcing someone to use the mic as the only instrument left. You do receive individual scores with the mics. There's also a party mode where people can jump in and out whenever they want to with the instruments. The only down side is that you can't choose the songs in party mode. Another nice option was the playlist option. Instead of having to pick songs for a playist by default like GHWT, you can turn that option on or off for Band Hero. So people don't get confused with either pressing the green button or the start button. (On Xbox360) The cons to this game is that it follows the user interface like GHWT. Only the band leader can control the stats screen and choose songs. This gets annoying when your an impatient person and the band leader isn't paying attention to the game. Also, you can't choose your difficulty level right before each song. Instead you have to either back out to the players menu and change it there, or the individual instrument has to press start and change difficulty and restart the song. Either way it's more time wasted than Rock Band's simple difficulty menu before each song. Another annoyance for people with slightly imperfect eye-hand coordination is that Band Hero has less tolerance for error in hitting the notes. You pretty much have to hit them dead on or it will count as a miss. When I was playing I hit all the notes fine, but when my sister was playing she thought there was something wrong with all three of my guitars. Then we realized it was the game. Overall, this game is fun to play if you're into the pop songs included. I'm sure there will be guys out there who aren't willing to sing Taylor Swift, Jesse McCartney and Hillary Duff, but it's definitely fun to watch if you can get them to do it. Good times....

Finally Good Music for Xbox360's Band!
I got the Xbox360 RockBand 2 for my son for christmas because I love music and its something we can all join in on. Well the music that came with it wasn't all that hot. So I looked around. Then I saw a commercial on Taylor Swift's Band Hero. I purchased it and it's GREAT!! We all know the songs! They aren't heavy metal or punk, like RockBand. And they work great with the instruments that came with RockBand 2. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS SOFTWARE! Everyone from my kids up to my parents enjoy joining in!

Excellent Game
Using the Microphone that came with the Glee3 bundle. The Glee3 game is not good, but this one is excellent. Great songs. The lyrics are presented in a easy to read format. The Glee3 game scrolls like a hyper ticker tape read out and trying to follow it can give you a headache. I think you can use guitars, drums and other compatible instruments with this, but I only wanted to sing along with the microphone. Excellent!

great pass time
After playing this game with some friends I decided I wanted a copy of my own. I found the game at an H.E.B. plus for $20, but didn't have the money for it at the time. I decided to see if the price was cheaper through amazon, to my surprise it was! This game is a great buy. I really enjoy the music as I grew up listening to many of these bands. If you like bands like Hilary Duff, Garbage, and No Doubt this game is for you.
